Teniel 09-05-07, - 06:01 PM This is old news.
The newest reports is that she in fact conceded from last night.
There was some violence reported pre and post election day, but it was one of their more peaceful elections generally.
Read story here (http://www.jamaica-gleaner.com/gleaner/20070905/lead/lead1.html)
Alien 09-05-07, - 06:01 PM But, Jamaica is under a very terrible time. Post hurricane, and now a very intense election where the details are close.
I don't like the looks of this, and, the international community better be watching this. Because, this can turn into a catastrophe over night, and we would sit here and let it boil over....like how humans do at times!

Why are you going on with this Armageddon like talk? This has been one of the most peaceful elections relatively speaking in Jamaican history. As far as Hurricane Dean, the damage was not as devastating, and utilities was restored in most of the island. Jamaicans have moved on, how about you do the same.

None of your concern where I am. However I do like to read up about stuff happening outside the archipelago.

Armageddon Talk?
Jamaica is a violent country. I don't need to talk Armageddon talk, for it to be truthful. I have friends who pray for Jamaica every day. This is no Armageddon talk, and that report showed what is commonplace in Jamaica; before and after an election.
So, unless you have your own news feed that the pictures, and the stories I saw in regards to Jamaica after the hurricane especially. And, over the people who have families there, I suggest you pay a little more attention to the issues and be concerned about our sister country.
With this, I never said that it is a crisis, or a desperate situation. I just said we have to be on the look-out, and not get put to sleep by the issue slipping us by. We have a right to watch, look and be careful of what goes on.
