What are your strategies for surviving a day at the office, being stress free and allowed to work another day?

I, as much as I hate to admit it, fence sit regularly!

I take NO SIDES on any issue, aside from getting the work done. No BS about the boss this and that. In fact, I agree with everyone on everything aside from it not being what the directives are for the job!

Other people mix and mingle, and try to be "ok" with their co-workers.

Nah man, I sit the fence and proud to be a fence sitter!

What about you?

Are you a "mixer"...
A "hider"...
A "confrontationist"...
A "suck up" (mixer to the umpth degree)
or...
A "fence sitter" like me...

Tell me why!

Back in college, I would be quick to tell folks about their hip. If you ever met any of my college friends they would tell you many of the stories where i told folks off.

Hughbiggity hand nothing one me! LOL!

As I got older I realised the true folly of "casting pearls before swine." I think it happened around 30 when I decided not to have THOSE kind of conversations with people at work unless we had established a history.

I still do that, but if you are holding up production or talking flick and holding us back, you will get a good backhand slap (or words) from me.

Alien, I think that is why I "understand" you (kinda) on this forum. I was never as, umm, abrasive, as you, but I recognize the fiery passion stirred up by tertiary learning...

Ya still wery, wery facety and non-manners at times though !LOL! :D

"Facety"....HAHAHAHHAA....

I een hear dat in years. Da last time I hear dat, my Jamaican sweetie was "ravin" her landlord; behind he back doe!

But nah man, I learn my lesson from gettin mix up in office shed. In fack, I was never a confrontational person, at least not in office; I een DAT crazy!

But, I does fence sit for real now and like da fack of being labled a fence sitter. It has it's drawbacks, as people tend to not take you serious, but, at the end of the day, you have your sanity and peace of mind!

I like yo go home happy, and secure I ga work da next day in peace!

LOL....

It's not that I don't care, it's that I can't afford to care. I mean, we will see how things go along as things progress.

But, people like to get you involved and try to force you to take sides on issues. And some of these things are not even that serious, and take up allot of time.

That is right, they try to force you into taking sides on stupid things and in the grand scheme of things it isnt important. In fact, it is usually an attempt to "outdo" someone that they dont like. It is like an office war which I dont be into, unless you talking bad about me hehe. I try to play the UN and be diplomatic LOL.

I use all – just choose which works best in the given situation. Keeps everyone guessing as well! :bouncy:
