:realmad: Someone please tell me if it is true about maynard-gibson law firm being associated with the albany group if so how was that possible and no one said or did anything about it.Wasn't that a form of conflict of interest being the minister at the time, and was she also connected with the bahamar deal, this woman is set for life from what she would have collected from the albany group alone or do you think all of them (plp ministers including perry)got a piece of the pie.
Don't say she was not invovle because she was in government because along as she didn't sell her company out right to someone esle she still got what was due to the company.
Drug dealers need to get invovle with politics and get there share like all of them are doing because it's the same thing crookin the bahamian people and then laughing in there face.
No wonder she is able to foot her legal bill for the election courts without being concern.
If This is true all of them is a bunch of crooked flippin ministers and i glad they lost.:dgi:

If the Bahamian people think for one minute that the PLP was interested in being the government to help them they are *****. The PLP was interested in governing to help themselves. The evidence is all around.
It started with the Korean boat scandal, to the Bleaches scandal, Allison as Financial Minister awarding her family law firm with huge contracts, Leslie Miller renting office space to BaTelCo.
Why you think the Sea Hauler victims ain't get no justice from the government,,,, the boat in the accident is registered to a "HANNA" blood is definitely thicker than water. The list goes on and on and on...just think and remember off all the scandals in their short reign.

It's simple, in 2002 the woman was worth around 5 million dollars in 2007 she was worth 11 million dollars. She used her position in the government to ENRICH herself. It was all legal but just by the skin of her teeth. Why you figure she in politricks, to help people? Thats the best joke yet!

...dont be so sure...going from 5 to 11 when she was minister of investments and had a direct hand in swaying the fdi bearers/carpetbaggers her way- even if they sought out her firm or not- that's conflict of interest and an abuse of her authority as a public servant...she's rife w/ white collar crime. any impartial legal system would also agree. thing is 11 million een really no money- if we talking real money! especially comparing it to what was given away and how much the foreignors will make.

Well, because her salary jumped is no reason to call her a thief. Brent Symonette's bank account jumped to at least double; from 20 something, to about 60; give or take a few mil.

But, if this is true, this is just in keeping with the bad rep Maynard G has. I said it before the election, that if the PLP lost, she would be the chief reason why they did lose. Halfway decent people, do not like the thought of that kind of activity, she surrounded herself with. She should have been dealt with swiftly. Forget about her and her daddy.

At a point and time, the PLP has to assess whether they want to "win", or, be loyal to someone who is not looked upon as loyal to the Bahamian people. Running contracts through your firm, as I saw with my own eyes with Bahmar through the contract being placed on the net by the bloggy boys, left me with a sour taste in my stomach, that went to the pit of my gut.

in fact, she is still costing them an election, but not accepting her apparent "true loss" at the polls, and trying to place her self in the position of that of Miller and Bridgewater, who have very good cases of their election results being overturned. If they do not get Maynard G, to make up the three needed to take the house, then she has cost them an election and the seat of power yet again.

I think people have to be fairly honest with Maynard G, and take the position of Gomez "Damien", and simply ask that woman to take a more minor role in front line politicks. To me, she does more damage than good.

JMO!

She is a spoilt rich girl, who has not been put in her place. It is embarrasing to see her go on; it's like she can't get it through her mind that she een it.

Give it a rest. But, as usual, they (the PLP) don't take heed and they may not want to be in power; this is what I get from this. It is like a fake fight, or a fight we know is going to be thrown. In the meantime, the half concerted attempt the PLP made at government, was 20 times better than this cruel and unusual punishment we have with this FNM administration.

1,200 people fired since May 2nd.
Unemployment is up
We pissed off our Caribbean neighbours
Developments stopped, and capital projects are put in question
Police Force politisized
The Immigration audit was morally wrong, and a disaster waiting to happen
Morton Salt was a gross abuse of power, with no creative tangible help for the workers at the salt mine.....

I am disgusted. And I pray.

-Just because government workers were laid off doesn’t mean private workers weren't hired. I know of many people who have been hired after May 2nd 2007. Unlike the opposition, they don’t need to make a big spectacle in the news papers. Oh and if you wanan talk unemployment-rumor has it the 'Queen' of Marco City fired her secretary after she LOST in da election simply because her secretary was FNM:shhh: Why een no boy marching for that? Or how about the woman who kick her son out of her house cause he vote FNM? One again-no march, no rally, nothing mmmhmmm. I thought it was about all Bahamas and just just PLP's

-Our Caribbean Neighbors are very happy with us. Did you not see the countless amount of photos Mr Ingraham took with The Prime Minister of Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago. I could swear dey was brothers. :)Who knows?

-Developments are moving full force in progression. So many projects, on Grand Bahama have begun taking place I can only imagine the economic boom for this Island in the next 5 - 10 years. Nassau developments have also began as well as those in the outter Family Islands. Perhaps you should have listened to the budget debate or try phoning the Minister responsible for Economic Development. Oh wait...it's a ‘waste’ of your time. You rather believe the crap the PLP feeds to you. Fair enough.

What Capital Projects?

-LMAO. The PLP should be the last people on earth to talk about the Police Force. The ONE and only program in which the PLP can say they themselves instituted is Urban Renewal. And even that became to political after a season. Thankfully the new government has reviewed the program, fixed it and now it's only a matter of time before it is relaunched to do what it was actually meant to do. If anything the PLP politicized the police force. Why wasn't Mother Pratt’s home investigated when that incident surrounding her son surfaced before the election. Why haven’t people like V Alfred Grey and Obie Whilscome been prosecuted before a court of law? Why did it take so long for Bradley Roberts to be investigated when charges were brought up against him for rape? Why hasn't Sydney Stubbs been arrested for clear public victimization/discrimination actions against workers of BAIC? The most that was done was his removal as chairman. Also, why wasn't he arrested for election fraud (lying about his personal assets)? The list can get a whole longer...trust me...

-The Immigration audit was the best thing that happened to the department since slice bread. Because of it sooooo many uncompleted and unevaluated forms can now be filed and stored away as many residential issues and citizenships matters were settled.

-Morton Salt. Ahh dude get real.

I am highly pleased and impressed and I am thankful for GOOD, TRUSTWORTHY Government. Ya know May 2nd 2007 was the first time in 5 years I am able to breath a sigh of relief-end of corruption and the continuation of progress from 1997.

1992-better now, 1997-better to come, 2007-better again
