One of the passengers on the Bahamasair flight that crash landed a few months ago is claiming that he is suffering long-term effects from the event and is demanding that Bahamasair compensate him for medical expenses or face a lawsuit.

Back in April, a Bahamasair pilot was successful in completing a crash landing of one of its Dash 8 aircraft in Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera, which was said to be the result of mechanical failure.

I know this is not funny, and I REALLY hope this fella gets his compensation for this, but why was I ROFL picturing the BahamasAir flight crew stepping on da passengers to get off the plane first? Wrong.. I am so wrong (but yinna laughing too!)

--------------------------------------------

"All we heard was a large noise that was the plane hitting the runway," he said.

"The emergency exits were open and the pilot and crew ran off and then the passengers ran off, but not before stomping on each other and screaming. They told us to hurry come off incase the plane blows up. Everyone was frantic; we thought our lives would end."

Arent the pilot and crew supposed to help people off the plane before they run off? Goodness, talk about professionalism but I guess it does not surprise me. I hope this guy gets more than 150k.

I thought so. Don't they show you that in the drills at the beginning of the flight?

They may be trained to help passengers off first during an emergency, but instinctively, it's every man and woman for him/herself when the fight/flight hormone is pumping. Some of those crew would have probably stepped on their mothers to save their ***, particularly if they were sure that the plane was going to blow.

LOL ... man one Bahamas Air plane I went to LI on hit the ground so hard and fast it then bounced back up in the air, thought we were dead foe sure!!

lets not talk about the one where the engine caught on fire on take off and had to slam the brakes and ended off the end of the runway in the bushes ... that was quick thinking on the pilot though and good on him/her.

Can i get some cOmpensation too?? :D
