WTF is going on with our youth?

I just heard that a former CI Gibson student was visiting the school today to collect some documents, when he accidentally bumped into another student in a corridor. As a result, the 10th grader pulled out a hooked-knife, and stabbed the former student to death.

Now my belief honestly, is that these two may have had some past altercations, but who knows.

Someone please tell me why our youth are so full of anger and rage? :realmad:

You can't be serious.......the gangs in our town have gotten too far. We have to crack down on them, no matter how much these people like their Haitian and Bahamian thugs!

We have a problem with young men on the whole, but if we can crack down on the gangs, we can alleviate some of the problems in the short term.

Leave da Haitian, Bahamian, Jamaician, Turks Island out of this.

Bad children are bad children, regardless of where they are from.

Deal with the parenting issues and we could fix this mess.

I passed there today and saw the ZNS news team along with a bunch of squad cars.

They need to start frisking these kids for weapons before they let them on the school grounds.

I pray to God we don't experience some mass school shoot out like in the States.

How? they learn that crap from their parents and the other "adults" in their life. ALL O' WE big grown rusty people acting like fools.

Everywhere you turn in the country some one is having "words" with someone else.

The unions fight. The teachers argue. The church argues. The politicians argue.

It's an epidemic of anger and it is FIRST fatalities will be the children.

Ever listen to the words in some of these songs? Also what is being viewed on t.v and the big screen?
Young men are referred to as dog, yeah that's my dog dread.
I watched a documentary on gangs, this one young man when shot was soooo surprised that it really hurt. He had watched so many movies where the "HERO" was shot multible times, stabbed, run over repeatedly by a car/truck, then jump on/off a moving train (you get the point?) The hero just keeps on going. Aint that way in real life.
Poor kids are pushed through a school system, can't read or write, most likely being parented by only a Mother, some not even that. I have 5 sons, I can nurture them, love them, what I cannot do is teach them how to be a man, only a man can teach on that subject.
Our moral compass is out of wack, we have done away with the Ancient Land marks, our motto today is "If it feels good do it."
Very few are privileged to have a normal home life, schools are war zones.
I weep for these poor kids, in my day the big worry was trying not to get caught by the teacher chewing gum, now students have to worry if they can make it through a school day with out being caught up in a gang war.
God promises us that if we turn from OUR wicked ways, He will come and heal our land.
We all can play our parts, make small improvements on how we conduct our selves, be more courteous on the roads, patient on long lines, smile more often at others, say good morning/afternoon, say I am sorry more often.
There is so much anger today, even on BI the anger and lashing out at folks because you are not PLP/FNM/Black/White/rich/poor, very little love on this site, if tongue lashing could kill plenny a we would be dead.
The change we so badly need must start with us.
Let LOVE have her way.

You want to change your life fast, even though it might
seem like it's slow, then take the statements below, put
them on index cards and read them 3 times/day. Morning,
noon and just before you close your eyes at night.
They'll seep into your consciousness. And since you'll be
saying them so often, you'll soon begin to believe them.
That's how most beliefs start. Spaced repetition of thought.
Your attitudes will then positively change your emotions,
and you'll be compelled to do more... And you'll love it.

How effective would metal detectors be when our schools are not enclosed buildings. If a student need to bring a weapon in school, why not hide it near the many miles of fencing or walls around the school premises, jump the fence and retrieve it later. Better yet, have someone bring it to the fence later for me.

Remember the guy who stabbed the student was outside the fence talking to the girl.

Ain no amount of metal detectors, police or security will hinder somone who is determine to do something.

then they must redesign the schools, lock them down, like a prison. :(

I have the real story.

The boy who was stabbed stepped on the guy's shoe. The altercation led to the ex-student being ganged by several students and was stabbed multiple times.

And yes, the boys were haitian. get mad at me if you want but its true. First-hand accounts from an actual CI student that was there.
