A former student of C I Gibson High School was attacked and stabbed on the Marathon Road campus yesterday afternoon by a group of students, heightening concerns over the new school security initiative implemented this year.

It was the second stabbing on a public school campus this week.

My policy is that persons are held at the gate and only escorted in by security. That was not followed through today," Williams said. "The outsider came onto the compound and got into an altercation with students. He was stabbed three times, once in his back, his arm and his side."

Reports of the number of people taken into custody last night varied, ranging from three to five. However, a number of suspects could be charged in court as early as today, police said.

This pat puzzles me:

Two students told The Nassau Guardian that the victim had come to school dressed in a C I Gibson uniform and had been there for most of the day. They struggled to make sense of it all.

Meanwhile, the young female security guard who allowed the victim on campus appeared nervous and scared.

The security guard told The Nassau Guardian that she had been threatened by outsiders after the incident. The young woman also said she had been threatened with a machine gun on Thursday morning by a man who said he had come to "shoot a student."

1. Why was the victim in school uniform if he was picking up a transcript to go off to college (as reported by another NG story)? Who wear a uniform after they graduate?


2. IF the security was threatened by a machine gun wielding person THURSDAY MORNING why was the police not on alert at the school for this stabbing Thursday afternoon???
