A pile of garbage, no less... After the investigation, shouldn't they MOVE the GARBAGE????
A mound of garbage at the end of Elizabeth Avenue, off Bay Street, continues to create an eyesore in the downtown area.
Director of Environmental Health Melanie McKenzie told the Bahama Journal there was an investigation conducted to determine how the heap of waste got there, but it appears nothing much came from that investigation.
"The matter has been investigated by one of my officers, and we are going to be making arrangements to remove it ourselves. We are not particularly trying to find any longer where it originated because that has been difficult to determine," Ms. McKenzie said.
On Tuesday, the trash was still there...
