And you came to this conclusion how, may I ask? Our gay friends here on BI say that 10% of the population is gay.I say more like 3%, but hey, they are the experts....that is 30,000 people. The gays are usually highly educated, and some would say affluent..maybe the gay community has been whispering in someone's ear at the tribune in order to get Cable Bahamas to carry Logo, if they do not carry it already.

I don't think it is rising, just becoming more vocal.

I grew up reading the every page of the Tribune every day....but the last couple weeks I was home....it was boring and did not contain many good articles.
They seem to be be basing all their front page articles off anonymous sources...not much solid evidence.
I think its only going to get worse though, now that they got a corner on the market.

If you look deeper, you'll probably find its not rising at all.

The more likely reason is that modern societies are tending to display less homophobic, bigoted attitudes towards the gblt community, so more people within this demographic are able to declare their identities without fear of repercussions from the the fanatical 'moral' and 'religious' crusaders, resulting in higher figures in reports and surveys.

whats your beef here???...that they printed an article because gays are advocating for gay programming??...or that you disagree with allowing a gay network to be on cable..??...the news is the news no matter how controversial it may seem....now on the other hand the title does come across sensationalistic but perhaps the emphasis was to draw attention to it and ultimately create a dialogue....we are the same people who when/if cable implements the suggested station (LOGO........ www.logoonline.com ) would be up in arms about no one knew anything about it....lets just discuss it intelligently....face it gay people life in the Bahamas...educational gay programming is totally acceptable and needed IMO...the conclusion that the tribune is a tabloid...based on this article is baffling at best to me...

the front page today was not from ANY anonymous sources....they spoke to the author of the letter (request) i.e. Erin Greene and also official (s) from cable bahamas..who acknowledged that they would have no problems looking at the network, i presume to make a decision as to whether or not they would air it....as for the past week's editions i havent been reading the paper so i wouldnt know...

Don't understand this statement. Channel 12 is one station. Cable Bahamas carries many stations, not sure if this guy's head is good or correct in his statement.
