Take a drive around New Providence and you will see beautifully refurbished schools but what is going on in those schools????

Many parents don't feel good about sending their children to school but they have no choice. They all believe that the police presence in the schools is the best idea for protection of their children until the govt finds a better means of securing the schools...

The govt says that they will not put the police back in the schools.
The teachers say that they want the police to be put back in the schools..

Which of those views is for real??????

Well, the teachers at R.M. say that they are not going back into their classrooms until the police is back on the school grounds!!!

And the ministry has threatened the teachers that their pays will be cut if they don't go back into their classrooms!!!

The teachers have said if that happens their will be trouble....

Sounds like a nationwide sit in if that happens!!!!!!

I told you all on another thread that I sensed trouble and it is coming fast...
The teachers have said that they will not bow to threats from anyone!!!!!

The teachers do not make the rules..they go back to the classrooms as contracted or suffer the consequences...btw, were there ever any police at the private schools, or family Island schools? What is so peculiar about public schools in New Providence that they need police there? People were getting beat down and stabed at schools for as long as I can remember..I was stabbed myself, trying to stop a fight.

I used to watch masses of students fight every day after school around 3. Lots of it was gang related.

Chile. Thing is though..you will always have a rude or unruly or maybe even violent child on a school campus. But why would teachers walk out on HUNDREDS of students because of something ONE or TWO of them did? There has to be a balance here.
