Carmichael Rd is one of the worst to navigate around the Jitneys. I do it a few times a day. And, remember a year or 2 back, a young girl was killed by a Jitney on this road.

"Mr. Maynard said he intends to speak with Minister of Works Dr. Earl Deveaux as early as Wednesday to discuss the possibility of putting speed bumps on the street where the accident occurred."

So, what is with the word "possibility?" It needs to be done! I would like to see a few speed bumps on Village Rd. mostly near the school. Village Rd is a race track.

They are not going to put speed bumps on that road, what with the already heavy traffic conditions? The offcials here in exuma do not even want to put speed bumps in fron t of the Palm bay beach club. Heavy vehicles always crashing and turning over in that area, but island people are very dogmatic, especially here in Exuma.

Confusing article. It states Jitney going North on Carmichael Rd. (Doesn't it go East-West). The mention of speed bumps must be on the side road connecting to Carmichael Rd. In some places the speed limit on Carmichael Rd is 45 mph (west of Gladstone) never gonna have a speed bump in that area.

I said the same thing & I also have a problem believing that story too.
