I ready to walk out of here," said one officer. "This place is not fit for human beings. There are a lot of roaches, flies and rats and the place is always dirty and stink. A hog wouldn't live in there."

On a daily basis up to 100 prisoners are housed in the cells, waiting to be processed to go to the courts.

"The prisoners don't even want to be in here. They would rather stay in court all day or in Her Majesty's Prison," another said.

According to the officers, inmates are in charge of cleaning up the station on a daily basis, however, some days the prisoners are not brought down.

"I don't know the last time this place was repaired. It looks like the government is going to wait for the building to crumble on us before they do anything."

One night in Central should be enough to put criminals off crime . .. the place IS nasty, you get some dried up cheese burgers and cold tea 3 times a day, and you have to beg to use the toilet .. and they right ... the smell .. arghhh. Not to mention when the cells are packed they have to sleep on the concrete ground.
