What is the deal with the school children and their apparent need to walk in the middle of the road. These little scocial misfits have no idea that the roads are for vehicles not little monsters who have no respect for anything. I am waiting for one of them to get run over and the uproar that will ensue due to their own negligence. Also the next one that gives me the fingure because i tell him/her to get out of the road might get run over on principal.:hammer:

They learn that mess from their parents.

All the grown folks walk in the middle of the road. (we also lack decent sidewalks)

I have had my own experience with school kids (CR Walker Kids)

I was at an establishment down town (through one of those side corners) and I was trying to reverse and had to come to a stop (due to 3 girls being in the road-talking) yes in da road!

I proceeded to blow and blow and trust me that did nothing !!

I waited for about 3-4 minutes then blew my horn one more time, no one moved, I then reversed my car and they had to move out the way.

One of them shouted, 'If you did knock me" .............

Another time

I was in an office down town one day and observed some students (once again CR Walker Kids) knocking the cars along the road to set the alarms off and finding it funny.

Thank Goodness not all school kids act this way when they get off from school.

cause the adults do it too, drive down Prince Charles after 5 and you will see all kind of morons walking on the road, same goes with Blair and other areas they walk. No such thing as Single file it seems, they wanna go shoulder to shoulder regardless of the fact that a huge piece of metal maybe coming straight at them.

Now I have to point out, it is not just Bahamians, it is all different people doing this .. is it a Bahamian thing though, do they walk on the road back home too, with cars going up and down both ways? Are these people suicidal or just simply stupid?

I dont wait .. they just best move ... now I ga stop at the very last minute though, and if I have to do that, they getting cuss right out. If they wanna act physically stale though they can talk to my back hand, steel sticks, or cutlass! :sailing:

I didnt reverse "quickly" but slowly - they got the point.

actually no most times it is a surprise to find some people that stupid to block the way of a large metal machine .. that you kind of sit there for a bit wondering are they mad or what ... who dey is .. where they come from .. why they wanna get run down .. ?? I gots no patience though .. :(

it's a hassle but they're just kids,they know better and so do adults,if the adults loose their cool ya think the kids will act like grown-ups?if you by chance hit a kid with a car,you will need more than the dream-team 2 win your case along with the years of anger management and guilt complex.So just take a deep breath,smile and proceed cautiously.:driving:

I mean just today I was turning a corner and this boy and girl standing in the middle of the road play fighting over a bottle of coke...in the middle of the road...I just turn the corner and there they were, I had to swerve quickly in order not to hit them and I was not speeding.

now those need to be taken off the road too ..
