we dont bash bhudists...or islamic peopple or hindus....we may make fun of em and their funny lookin hats, and there funny looking idols...
but to go on an all out bashfest like we are so insecure about our spirituality is unheard of in the modern era!!!

Christians don't bash??? Christian's bash the whole idea that they may be other faiths that have an equal or better chance at being "real!". They don't bash religions, one on one, they bash the whole concept that there might even be a value in another faith. In the past it was worse! Christianity adopted a "kill ‘em all let God sort it out" attitude. They bashed with clubs and swords then!

Funny looking idols? (Are you bashing?) Have you ever seen a crucifix? People of other religions wonder why a symbol of human sacrifice is held in high esteem by a religion that is against human sacrifice. (Don't bother to explain I know why, it is just that some find it hard to understand.)

Christianity makes extraordinary claims for itself. All I ask is that it support them, or at least make a good try! But this is hard because most Christian don't understand Christendom's claims either. I should also point out that larger and larger numbers who do understand, don't believe them anymore. And to get an argument going about my faith with a Christian is next to impossible as most Christians are painfully ignorant about other faiths, but then why should they bother? They see themselves as the only true Children of God - if that is not a subtle form of bashing on the Christian's part, it is certainly hubris.

Sorry you see it as bashing. I hang with Christians all the time. Some are members of this site, they read my postings here, they don't see me as bashing. In fact, many are interested in learning something. But I shall tone it down a bit, just for you. :D

Are you saying that Bahamian Christians can't defend themselves and their faith? Are you saying that their Religion is "off-limits?" Should I take a swipe, or bash at a Christian doctrine they are free to correct me or give me their opinion.

I know Christians want to be "the only game in town" but they are not and they should be ready to account for their faith, as the Bible says they should.

What you want is silence. My religion teaches debate. It asks for proof. It is not afraid to ask or answer questions, or even to admit a wrong view.

I will continue to asked questions, question doctrines until such time as Delroy cuts me of or I , :rip: You may call it bashing if you like but "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the Kitchen." I am learning things here!

if there are really true christians on this forum, then why the iraq war thread wen t so far without any other than a few of us, i dont know. Since the islamic fundementalist want to kill all christians unless they become muslim.. ;)

I am christian, but not a born again one, so in other words, I believe in the 10 commandments and try to follow them as best I can, as I believe they are good, right, the right thing to do. Im sure other regligions have theirs also similar. I dont see why diferent religions and types of religions cant just get along, as all it really is, is just a faith, not a fact! :D

embryonic stem cell research is wrong to me!!

no-one is above the greatness of the lord...
so when i say i am a christian...

it isnt that i am not a practicing christian...
but i may have had a bad day...
or just being what we call..HUMAN!!!

what you dont realize is that...people are going to have a problem with you whether or not you are a good guy or a bad guy... in saying that the only thing i have to live for is my lord...and the protection of my fellow man the best way i could!

CG, I don't know about "the only religion"; but "the only way to God", yes, Christ Himself said that. "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me". John 14:6.

So if the Master says it, don't you expect the flock to believe it!?

I don't see how believing what the Master says is putting yourself on a pedestal. The Master was a Man of humility and TRUE Christians are to be humble also!
