gullyrock 10-02-07, - 08:39 AM Sorry to do this again this a.m! ZNS just reported that a security guard at Harbour Bay Shopping Center was stabbed to death by 2 TEENAGERS last night! The CHILDREN got in an argument with the guard and this led to his stabbing. Other guards were able to catch one and the police caught the other! I can't say any more because I am at a loss for words! CHILDREN! They are supposed to be the future of our country..looks like many of ours are causing the destruction!
My sympathy to the family! God help us!

:dgi: My sympathy goes out to the victum family.
But don't be lost for words we all know we have a seriuos problem with our kids and no parent want's to take responsobility for them, but again i guess they would say it's a government problem. There is alot of rude *** children out there who come from rude *** parents plain and simple, those parents don't care for their kids but want others to do there job for them.Just do a satistic test of the home these kids who are doing these crime come and you would see,and then the blame again would fall on the government as usual. These parents feel as if we the society is responsibile for there down fall and would even try to pick them self up to do better but would wait for the government to give some form of hand out and still do nothing.
BAD USE IS KEEP COUNTTING IF YOU WANT BECAUSE IT"S GOING TO CONTINUE TO CLIMB>:dgi: THat's the sad part.

DO You Know Where Your Children ARE ?
Terry77 10-02-07, - 09:35 AM My husband and I are a young couple with 2 children, a 7 yr old girl and a 2 yr old boy. We moved to the USA this year for the fear of the environment my children were growing up in. My daughter went to QC which is the same school I went to.... and my son stayed at home with the housekeeper. I kept saying that I want my kids to grow up in The Bahamas, but at this rate I am confident in our decision to live abroad! I pray for the families of the victims and the families of the accused! May God have mercy on them all!

If you moved to a major US city, you probably moved from the frying pan into the fire.

The thing is....I always said to myself that I didn't want my kids to grow up in the US, because of how dangerous it is. I think I need to change my view on that now.
bahamiangoddess 10-02-07, - 10:35 AM If I had children I would not be afraid to grow them up anywhere, remember children live what they learn. A child will only do what they are allowed to get away with.

Exactly

Depends on where you live and whether your in the outskirts or not. In Nassau, everything is so jampacked it is hard to avoid. At least abroad people are held accountable.

Sunnyjohn 10-02-07, - 11:11 AM Prayers for the families..
It was just a matter of time before kids started doing the killing.
*sigh*
wide eye 10-02-07, - 11:17 AM This is so sad. One life lost and two more ruined. I wonder if we need to put a curfew on these children, if found out of their yard after dark they need to get picked up by the police and the parent/gardian fined.
wide eye 10-02-07, - 11:24 AM I wonder if this continues will we turn into a police state? Are we so immature as a nation and as a people that we need to be "babied" by the state? Do we have the maturity to live as responsable caring adults or are we just a bunch of children who have to be monitored by the government at all times? I know this act was carried out by children but I still wonder about the nation as a whole.
Native Stew 10-02-07, - 11:26 AM is it time for a curfew yet?
