View Full Version : School security....
Alien 10-07-07, - 01:27 PM I don't know about you, but after seeing what some lengths some of the people have been trying to go through, in regards to justifying no police in schools, I decided to ask the question out loud.
To the Security firms and government, are there security firms lined up, prepared to take government contracts to provide security for the public schools?
Is this the reason why we can't have police protection in the schools?
I mean, we cannot even question any more how the armed services have been in bed with the FNM. Some have even bragged about it and about how when the police had their day, they went out in red.
So, with the retiring of some of them (whether by choice), and, with most of the security firms headed up by either retired or reserve police officers....is it just blatantly obvious!?!?
I had a chance to listen to last weeks parliament street with Sen Fergusson, and to the lady who claimed she did a study, and found that no police were in the schools anywhere. I took 5 minutes to surf the net, and I KNEW I would have found entire police branches dedicated to school policing.
I mean, how much lies and utter stupidity will these people think Bahamians would endure!?!?
Check this website, Bahamasissues, to see what some of the truth is.

This is sort of like my Sunday word, allbeit abbreviated. But, a word from the wise none the less.

I did not even know. Seriously. I thought the issue has not been raised. So, the handing out of security contracts to private firms, instead of letting the police officers do their work in the schools have been addressed?
I see...what do you think of that?
leave cops in the schools for now (they ARE there), until a special public school security force is created, trained, and ready to go with a completely tested Rules of Engagement.

Train them. This was what it was and is supposed to be. I mean, some of these people have two different arguments to oppose the "police" being in schools.
First they say that police need to e on the street
Then they say, the "police" that were in the schools, were not real police
Then, they say that the police were ineffective....
Then, the police that were trained to be school police, were ineffective...
Which is it?
All of this just to give some security firms contracts out of we money, to let people die in the schools!
Outrageous!

Maybe when they kill off each other then this would not be an issue anymore......
Don't hurt your head Alien, move on and forget it!!
We have warned them so let it go...

No no dear don't say that it's not that noone cares it's just very frustrating.. It's almost like beating a dead horse... We all as intelligent individuals can see the need for policing in the schools so how do we get the Government to see it too. I mean to we get in the streets with picket signs..Do we as parents speak out on every talk show that exists..
Yes crime in schools is on the rise and if we don't do something soon more children will be hurt if not even god forbid die before the powers that be get off of their DUFFS AND PUT THE OFFICERS IN THE SCHOOLS... Yes thi is what this generation has come to..
GOD H ELP US!!!

But this govt says that removing the police who weren't really police from the schools was a campaign promise and they will not change their mind so why fight them???
We are wasting our time with these hard heads!!
They say that there was little difference when the police were there so they aint putting them back!!
