Hello, I am from the states and I was in Nassau in June. I went to a night club called the Outback and I was so surprised by the number of kids that were hanging out in that place. Isn't there an age limit on drinking and clubing in Nassau? Why were these kids allowed to come into this establishment and buy beer and drinks and party with the grown people? I don't go out a lot here in the states but when I do, I go to clubs where the age limit is 25 and above. If I wanted to party with children I would stay home with my teenagers. What happens if these kids get drunk and leave out of that place and get hurt or something? What kind of rules apply there? I know when I come back next year I won't be going to the outback. Can someone tell me of a nice place to sit and have a drink and listen to some nice music other than the hotels? I do like to socialize with the locals when I'm there instead of hanging out where the tourist hang out. Any suggestions?

I think you might enjoy trying Villagio in the caves village center on west bay street. You can have a nice dinner downstairs $$$ and then head up to the lounge for live music and cocktails - you are sure not to have a problem with minors here and the crowd is relaxed and social.

when will we realize nassau isnt a backward hick town anymore...
its a thriving city!
and very urban..and fast paced!

we love to piss people off, and make things difficult, but we know how to do what it is that needs to be done...at least 70% of the time!

we just need to have a leader who imposes his inspiration on us...and it will transcend!

you can get things done here...
a little slower than average parts in the U.S...but defintaly not a snail pace..expecially when you deal with bussiness...
dont expect to do bussiness, and not be up to par with your paperwork in the bahamas i have learned!

we have laws, and they help the little thing we have going here run smoothly!

Now Freeport has some bomb clubs, and maybe for me the American girl that is excitement on a vacation, for others that is old, slow and tired. But I always remember not to get caught up in the politics of going to the club.

it is booming again, as for the last ten years we had only two..now we have more than i can count...and tens of restaurants!
