This is so unfortunate that parents actually support criminal behaviour by way of their acceptance of goods and money they know very well that their children are incapable of earning legally.

Many years ago, when I was looking after a church or two, one lady came to church and after the service wanted me to look at the new car her son bought her. It was a Porsche! I asked her where her son worked. "He is a packing boy at...." (By the way, he was in his mid twenties.)

I tried to point out that as a packing boy he would be lucky to afford a bike! She got mad at me and said her son was a good boy, "never don't nothin' wrong in his life! I bring him up on God's word!!!

I conducted his burial service when he was killed in some "drug mixup!" His mother was convinced he was just an innocent party and was shot by mistake.

Lynette - you guys must see alot of this stuff,is there not a way to tell if the parent has gained through the son's nefarious dealings, and if so can't we at least confiscate/incarcerate the goods/offending parent as well?

That all depends. If we (police) know that the son robbed John Brown Imporium of five LEXI watches and have the serial numbers and Mommy Dearest is wearing or has in her jewl box one of said watches she then could be charged with Receiving....the problem will be trying to prove she knew the watch was stolen when she accepted it.

What we also see alot of is parents and other family who are willing to assult officers (physically and verbally) to defend their own and then hollor police brutality when the officers respond to that resistance with the same force that they are receiving.

What they dont say is that they was all in the officer face pushing and shoving him while saying 'Yall always round here fecking messing with people.
