View Full Version : Fred Mitchell claims police officer in Fox Hill was victimized
The former Superintendent of the Fox Hill police station was victimized and removed shortly after the May 2 general election for "a purely political reason", Parliamentarians heard Monday.
This, among other claims, was made in the House of Assembly by Fox Hill MP Fred Mitchell, who said that there was no question that the Superintendent was competent and doing a good job.
"It is alleged that the Deputy Prime Minister [Brent Symonette] visited his station unannounced one day and some exchange must have taken place which caused offense," Mitchell said. "It is alleged that the Deputy Prime Minister then called the Commissioner of Police to complain and the officer was removed from his post as the head of Fox Hill," he continued.

Who appointed you the JUDGE...
licks2 10-24-07, - 07:19 PM What did he do...specifically! Did he row out the DPM to he face?:dgi:
Mitchel is contradicting himself though, as he says it is political, but if the cop was removed because the DPM felt he owned the place due to donations to renovate it, then its not political, its wrong, but not political.
But seriously, if the cop cussed him out, he was within his rights to complain to the cops boss, then it is up to the cops boss what he does with him, not the DPM.
chancellor 10-24-07, - 08:00 PM I call for the formation of the Ombudsman, so that Parliament doesn't waste time for the rest of this term talking about "wiktimization", and the people who think that they have a case can take it directly to that office.

The next five years are shaping up to be a complete bust.
Every other day they halt debate in the House to talk about "wik-tim-i-zation."
They are wikimizing me by not getting on wit bidness!
