Former Bank of The Bahamas financial controller Terry Murray is accused of stealing over $100,000 from the bank. But when the prosecution closed its case yesterday, evidence had only been presented in relation to the alleged theft of $9,500.

Murray, 46, is accused of making 14 withdrawals totaling $139,000 from the bank's expense account between November 2, 2004 and February 9, 2005. He is no longer employed at the bank.

Terry is a really good person from all that I know of him... He is a fellow church member, a fellow fraternity brother… he has a great family and this chapter in his life goes contrary to what he portray of himself… I hope that it is not true….

He can be assured of my prayers and support... even if it is proven that he is at fault...

May God Bless Him and his family at this time in his life.
