Most people believe that many of the songs we hear today are originals. Well I'm a fan of music from 50's - 70's and 80's so I know better.

I was just wondering if anyone can come up with their list of 50's - 70's and 80's songs that were remade from the early 90's to today.

Does sampling count? Because alot of producers just sample a beat/melody or what have you....but they're not actually remakes.

Okay....off the top of my head:

The chorus of Jay-Z's "Blue Magic" samples EnVogue's "Hold On" [don't know if they sampled someone else...lol].

This new Alicia Keys song......I want to say she's sampling one of Prince's songs....but I can't figure out which one.

And you know she had a remake of Prince's "How Come You Don't Call Me" on her last album.

Mariah's "We Belong Together" sampled (IMO) "If You Think You're Lonely Now" and Babyface's "Two Occasions".

Okay....off the top of my head:
