There are a number. The Holiday Inn Junkanoo Beach, The Towne Hotel, the Grand Central Hotel. None are as nice as the Hilton, but still easily within walking distance.

Don't forget quality inn next to the holiday inn. And El Greco is a hotel too?

I'd rather pitch a tent in da bush than stay at most in that surrounding locale. :driving: :escape: :sailing:

None are NEARLY as nice as the Hilton. The ex-Holiday Inn (now Grand Palm) was too hot in the rooms and the lobby. The water pressure in the El Greco is less than what you would get if you peed on yourself, not to mention it's cold water.

Unless you are really financially constrained, go to the Hilton BC.

Or pitch a tent next to Rory, your choice! :D

I've heard though that the line at the embassy starts at 6am.

Do they take appointments at the Nassau embassy (so she can be sure to get in in case Bahamas Air plays the fool with that first flight out of FPO)?

Yes they do take appointments but I will call and find out from them. Their website says they return the passports the next day.
