YorickBrown 11-13-07, - 12:13 PM You mean the one for people unable to comprehend a two button mouse? *G* I'm gonna steal that comeback, for sure. Sunnyjohn 11-13-07, - 12:15 PM Hey YB, Have you seen my thread? http://www.bahamasissues.com/showthread.php?t=11237 benjamieson 11-13-07, - 05:16 PM You mean the one for people unable to comprehend a two button mouse? @ Joe Bufoon: Macs have worked happily with 2-button meeces for oh, around 15 years. (Lest you forget - Apple invented 'Plug and Play') @ Yorik: I wouldn't steal that comeback if I were you! Will only make you look out of touch with reality. @ Rory: No, Macs mooces don't have 2 buttons*. *They have 5 buttons and a scroll wheel as standard. I know - tricky for the people unable to comprehend a 5 button mouse Exrated 11-13-07, - 05:27 PM *looks around his oblong hockey puck for these 5 buttons* YorickBrown 11-13-07, - 07:08 PM @ Joe Bufoon: Macs have worked happily with 2-button meeces for oh, around 15 years. It's like a Linux user teasing a Windows fanatic about needing an installer to setup programs. I was forced to use one of those single button mice just the other day. You should've seen me habitually "right clicking" and then cussin' Joe Baboon 11-13-07, - 07:49 PM @ Joe Bufoon: Macs have worked happily with 2-button meeces for oh, around 15 years. I know - tricky for the people unable to comprehend a 5 button mouse At one time or another, I have used as my primary machine, systems running DOS, Windows (All Strains), Workbench, BeOS, Linux (sometimes w/ X, sometimes not. Windowmaker baby!), and all have been reasonably comfortable after a brief period of adjustment. Every time I sit down and use a Mac, regardless of the amount of time, regardless of the version of MacOS (started with System 6), at best it is as if I am having a cheese grater dragged across my face. I *really* *really* wanted to get behind OSX, thinking this would be a chance at a real, powerful, stable, extendable operating system for the masses. When I finally got my hands on it, loaded up on a Mac, it revealed itself to be more akin to Windows ME with a better color scheme, than the infallible conglomeration of perfection it was marketed as. Nope, I am the masses, I run Windows XP. (Until Linux power management gets good enough, almost there!) benjamieson 11-14-07, - 09:45 AM Nope, I am the masses, I run Windows XP. (Until Linux power management gets good enough, almost there!) Good for you. I've been using Macs since 1987, Windows since 1996. I currently use OS X and XP on a daily basis. Whenever I'm using Windows, I feel like a cheese grater is being dragged across my face. The world is beautiful because people are different, and free to choose.
