View Full Version : Fnm Website On Padded Contracts
Dark-n-Lovely 03-07-06, - 12:36 PM I am talking about present day corruption, Recall May 2, 2002, the Bahamian people dealt with all of what you are re-INVENTING. I am talking about the 10% from contactors in Housing, the no bid contracts in Water and Sewer, let me not go on as it will all come to focus really soon.
i totally agree with you

You fail in the national interest to put aside your party political leaning .., you sould like a die heart PLP, that is unfortunate...., let me admit my support for the FNM, but when they are wrong I will speak up against, and yu refer to events prior May 2, 2002. The only one that had the implications of a fish deal was that with Mr. Symonette. He resigned.
About Tommy and Dion, I am no defender of none, they awarded contracts, I am not sure what was the beef that Big Brad had with it. A supporter I heard sponsored a party for Tommy this supporter also got a governmnet contract to a ministry where Tommy was the Minister. I am not sure if we have a law that says contracters who are supporters canot donate to their party's campaign.
Well, look at Penn and what he is doing now for the government and the contributions that he make to the PLP.
I am do not know what you are saying, in fact, the PLP knows that their actions are now going to be called into question and they are afarid...., this will be worst them any scandal you have ever seem.
Perry Christie must also be hold to account becasue he wanted to move Ministers but he did not do it to allow them to clean up their act, if they can....
Mr. Symonette is now the deputy leader of The FNM, or did he resign from that post in the last few days. With regards Tommy Turnquest and Dion Foulkes, no there is no law against what they did. It still wasn't right. You who seek to paint The PLP with a brush of corruption, touting every unfounded allegation as though it were fact, should realize where the real corruption exists.
One point I seem to notice regarding The FNM is their propensity to throw out unfounded allegations and repeat them until people begin to believe their trash. When you have true evidence of corruption, then there will be an issue to thrash out. You chastise me for my party affiliations, yet you cannot see past your own.
Facts are, I am not a PLP. I support The PLP now because I feel that they are the best party for the country right now. The only reason that I even get involved in political discussion is my distaste for The FNM and their policies in Government.
The FNM has shown little regard for the people of The Bahamas, especially the less fortunate. They have awarded contracts and passed legislation to reward supporters and family members, yet cry foul over a $2500 contract in time of national crisis. When you can realize this you can talk to me about political affiliation, until then just continue criticizing The PLP without evidence or justification all you want. That is the way of The FNM, I am sure it will play well with many members on this forum.

And you have demonstrated that very well, but you are entitled to our views, you are A BAHAMIAN (i assume), but I trust that you now speak up against the corruption of the PLP when it comes to light and let the chips fall where they may. OK.
Let me point out, that you seems a die hard PLP, like my father and them but unlike them it seems that you point to the wrong of the FNM, I see this as an opportunity, that you can see the wrong and the PLP and call wrong wrong unlike my father and YK2bad.

I evaluate each party based on their merit, I also need evidence. I know the way politics is conducted, how nasty it can be. I also know that a lie can be more believable than the truth, if it is what one really wants to believe. Next time you consider believing some allegation consider this, just as I consider whether I am unjustly believing unfounded allegations against The FNM, who I truly dislike. I have seen legislation and policies which came out of The FNm which I truly feel were rewards for supporters and cronies.

Point out the legislation you are referring to.
watsayu 03-07-06, - 04:22 PM Point out the legislation you are referring to.
I am referring to the fact that if this the case, we have to do something about it.
I do not know of what legislation you are referring to maybe you should explain.
But when there is wrong you and I should preach about it and do something about it. That is my point.
Do you agree ?
