Hi Dennis,

Your new writers’ group sounds very organized and promising. You also have many of the ideals that I established with the Bahamas Writers' Group.

As you know, the BWG floundered after I handed the group over to a volunteer team - see http://www.bahamaswriter.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=25 and http://www.bahamasissues.com/showthread.php?t=189&highlight=Bahamas+Writers+Group

For those who don't know, Dennis was one of the first members of the Bahamas Writers Group. See http://www.bahamaswriter.com/press_release.htm

Dennis - please let us know, what are the membership fees, what are membership requirements, where will meetings be held, how often will they be held and at what times?

I hope your writing is going well. Keep in touch. I may apply for membership in The Commonwealth Writers of the Bahamas later, depending on where and when meetings are held.

Best wishes,
Fay

Greetings Fay:

Thanks for your interest and very kind words. The group is open to all writers in the commonwealth, and dues are $50.00 per year-, which could be paid in installments according to the writers' budget.

We are working on a permanent location for meetings, and are schedule to meet monthly.

The 1st Annual General meeting is booked for October 21, 2004, at the Nassau Yacht Club, East Bay Street.

All are welcome to attend. It is hoped that writers like you and others will continue to pursue the vision of a vibrant writers’ group in The Bahamas that assist authors in advancing to higher heights, and success.

We owe it to ourselves, and our nation to be shining stars in the national, and global arenas of authors. Let’s continue on the road of recognition together therefore.

Look forward to working with you, and others.

Regards,

Dennis

P.S. The group’s e-mail address is: commonwealthwriters@yahoo.com - Feel free to communicate at anytime.
