When Zimbabwe was as you said it was, Agricultural Gem, who did it profited? I beat you know the answer is the White people who farm it. So it did'nt make a big bite of different weather we see today Rampant inflation today, because the wealth of the country was in the hands of 2% of the intire country.

Everyone profitted from having a good economy and now everyone suffers from an economic disaster. Mugambe really 'crapped the bed' by introducing the agriculture policies.

Yes, rampant inflation today does make a differance since the former big time agriculture owners can move out of the nation and its problems, while the average worker(mostly black) are stuck suffering through the consequences of Mugabes racist policies. Why the dogged defense of Mugambe and glee over how he has negatively affected white farm owners, when there should be outcry over the suffering of blacks due to the crash of the national agriculture? Do you, yet, see the irony of Mugambes policies aimed to harm whites have actually harmed his fellow blacks far more?

WELL MAYBE IF YOU HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT'S REALY GOING ON IN ZIMBABWE, YOU MAY HAVE A DIFFERENT OPINION. NO ONE COULD SAY IT'S A GOOD THING TO HAVE 2% OF THE TOTAL POPULATION OWNING 60% OF THE COUNTRIES LAND. THE WEALTH OF THE COUNTRY IS IN THE HAND OF THE MINORITY. THAT'S NOT A GOOD THING FOR THE MASSIS. THE RICH WILL GET RICHER & THE POOR WILL STAY POOR. GOD AIN'T PLEASE WITH THAT.

I'll ask of you the same question I have asked others. "How would you have gone about land reform if you had the power?" I really want to know. How does one go about it without destroying the free market and making oneself an international pariah?

PLENTY PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND WHT'S GOING ON HEAR. THE ZIMBABWE GOVERNMENT & THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT HAD AN AGREEMENT TO CONPENSATE THE WHITE FARM OWNERS ALONG WITH THE ZIMBABWE GOVERNMENT. BUT THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT DID'NT LIVE UP TO THE AGREEMENT. SO MAGUBE TOKE ACTION.

Don't bring religion into this. Simply understand what it take to get things done in the real world.

As the saying goes, "The gods won't do for you what you won't do for yourself"

The poor will stay poor if they so choose to. Responsibility, working smarter, discipline, self-sacrifice and the ability to make tough decisions can move anyone out of poverty - even if only making things better for the next generation.

Once again, what was done in Zimbabwe was a bad move that Mugabe, if his advisers had their head screwed on straight, would not have made.

If African leaders do not know how to play the global politics game, then they need to learn how to play it or step down and be replaced.

You mean "a lot of people" don't understand what's going on. And you are absolutely correct. It does not take a rocket scientist to see why the British government did not honor any agreement made with the Zimbabwe government.

Like I said before, African leaders need to step up their "game" several levels and use the vast potential of the global system to help their nations begin to prosper again.

There is a right way and a wrong way to do things.

To look at the way that many of those leaders live in utter luxury while their people literally starve to death is appalling and reprehensible.

A leader of a nation should be held responsible for everything that goes on in his country. He is the top decision maker, the man with the last say on every plan that is implemented. If the country does well, most likely he will take the credit and the rewards, so if the country is doing poorly, he rightly should take the negative reputation and the punishment that comes along with that as well. Simple.
