Lol! But strangely enough most folks, when they reach the point in their lives when they can “see the end” do make a kind of Bucket List. At my age it might be a bit too late to start something major but there are a few things of a minor and pleasing nature that do spring to mind.

I would like to get a jeep! A standard shift! An automatic is not “driving.” it is just getting from A to B.

I would like my nieces and grand nieces to remember the wonderful times that they had at Christmas Eves at my house (and other times.) The food, the decorations, the fun - as I remember my youth. So that when they are old they can look back with a smile.

I would like to go hunting again. Not to kill but to enjoy the wild, the early mornings with the dramatic sunrises. The smell of the forest, the mists, the enjoyment of nature in an uncivilized state.

I would like to write a book! In that book I would pass on all the knowledge I have learned. It maybe usable to some. I would write about all the wonderful people I have met, famous and other wise. About the T’ai Chi, and other Martial Arts, I have learned over forty years. I would also like to write about the wisdom of the world’s religions and how all are but the reflections of a one religion - and how all seek peace and brotherhood. Most of all it would be a book about the reflections of a man that has given up trying to be “it” and just wants to “be.”

Also, I would like to stay young, not in body - that is not possible - but in mind. I would like to embrace new things, new ideas, new people and experiences. I am doing that but sometimes it is not as easy as it would seem.

Yes, a Bucket List - not a bad thing. When you are young the bucket is deep! As you get older it becomes shallow, with less space to fill. Keep that in mind young folks. Do what you need to do now - time quickly vanishes :)

I saw the trailer on tv and thought that a "bucket list" was just a mignificient concept and set out to compile my own. . .here goes!!

1. finish writing my book. . .been working on it fer past ten years
2. paint and taking pictures more offen. . .have a show some day
3. start building ma "dream" home
4. drive from florida to agentina
5. get a little workshop and sell my own works

florida through mexico through panama canal all the way down to argentina...I believe you can do it...but wont you be cursing yourself half-way through texas--please believe it! and through that lil strech of the amazon and andes region...lol i hear there are not many black people there so when you get there youll be fawned upon.
