"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)
BI, this forum has the potential to assist in a needed peaceful revolution for an 'Improved Bahamaland". One idea is to have our collective thoughts communicated via the media (talk shows... and any other similar???).
All around Bahamians are expressing plain ole DIGUST! I agree... and while it's a negative vibe; it could be the most significant place to be at this time in our development. Contentment tends to breathe apathy, mediocrity, laziness and selfishness! Without question we are in a season of reaping ... and, the direction we're going in is simply UNACCEPTABLE!! Our small population makes it easier to effect change for the better.
What if we organize for this? We have what it takes: concern, education, talent, maturity, Nassauvians, Grand Bahamians, Biminites, Exumians, etc., youth, older, blue-collar, white-collar, unemployed... and 'a place in the tent for many more'. What's more we're not in it for the VOTES, FAME, FORTUNE, or any such other than a deep love for our country!
Okay BI ppl.... what do you think?
"Time and again those who profess to be good seem to clearly outnumber those who are evil, yet those who are evil seem to prevail ... " ( http://www.padfield.com/1997/goodmen.html )
:shaky: Hey, we even have Lincoln! How I let dat slip? (Controversy Tee-Wee :D ) Delroy, Chancellor, other Moderators.... can this be done?

The time is ripe for A-Political action in this country... it always only take a few!

I've factored in our differences --- yet, I believe we do have some commonalities too.

Yes, I have deep convictions steeped in christianity. No, I do not support that homosexuality is right. These I believe are a significant divide.

That aside, at the risk of stepping beyond my boundaries here: we seem to agree that 1) crime is out of hand; 2) Education is a hub in need of improved attention 3) There is room for attitude adjustments/improvement of Bahamians ......... many more...

You see Vic & Adi, while I will be forthright regarding my opposition to the practice of homosexuality; I respect both of you and everyone in this forum. Unlike the popular view that says we should practice 'tolerance', I would use different language. People are not to be TOLERATED --- they are to be ACCEPTED and LOVED! As best I know how this is the attitude I have toward all people regardless of color, lifestyle, personal choices, status, citizenship....

Much like the US, The Bahamas is a melting pot of sorts and this is one of it's chief strengths!

It must be hard to trust a Ghettoian behind a computer screen but I'm a great believer in TIME.............

Nuttin' new here. You do a splendid job of keeping us informed. I'm female, feminine, she, her, since conception..... purely, instinctively and naturally drawn to MEN! (since we're making declarations!!!!)

I repeat:
