A Draft Dodging War Monger .. thats a first :shaky:

nah, chalk that up for rumsefeld and cheney and wolfowitz and bush too :).

i have no issue with real soldiers calling for war, but have a really hard time with *&^% who use their family connections to stay out of active service yet have no problem sending other people's kids into the front lines.

in that case they need to forget all the current candidates and just elect a general or something :shaky:

Its offical OBAMA won the Iowa caucuses...His theme is change...
So i must ask all BI members the questions, who is the Bahamas' OBAMA? Who is the one person on the Bahamian political landscape who inspires the masses like Obama does and is doing in the US? Is that person on the Bahamas political scene now, if so, who?

Who cares WHAT HE WINS......
Last I check iowa NOT LOCATED IN THE BAHAMAS ........

I think everyone should care a whole hell of a lot. What happens over there, affects us here in short order.

This shows some shallow thinking. Same reason Bahamians cannot get ahead.

We should be concerned about what goes on outside of The Bahamas and not just in the US either. It is good to keep up with World issues as well.

What Obama represents is change.

Change to a intelligent way of looking at this world. If anything I believe that Obama will be the catalyst to empower those who truly want the US to be able to compete long term with the intellect of India and China.

Anyone who respects brainpower would support Obama.

When he becomes President of the United States, every expert in their related field needs to step up and take the opportunity to make the necessary changes which will overhaul and improve the US power/influence engine over the next 250 years.

The Repubs know that their pockets will be slightly less full with Obama as prez, but that is okay because they made more than enough to cover that loss while Bush was in power.

Besides, what good is having a lot of money when an entire societal structure is beginning to crumble around you?

The US is a capitalist country. With that said, pure capitalism feeds on and drains the masses of their energy and potential. Every now and then the masses need to be given a break so that they can be empowered enough to continue supporting the system. Obama knows this and the people will love him for it.

As a Black man, I have mixed emotions. Although it would be great to see Obama win (this would open the door for all minorities in America) I fear that he is not the best candicate. There is one (I think his name is spelled Kucinich) is better and Edwards could get more done because he'd have less racist resistance, and he's similar to Obama.

But in my perfect world, Obama would be VP and one of Edwards or Kucinich(sp) would be President.

But overall, our earth needs less NATIONALISM and more ENVIRONMENTALISM and GLOBAL LOVE.

Democrats and republicans are TOO SIMILAR to really change America or the world. We need new leaders and new political parties everywhere. Our children deserve a better world.

This right there shows that even though Obama is the best man for the job, many of us still worry about racial issues to this day.

Obama isn't worried and neither should we.

It would be a shame that persons would not vote for Obama because of his race, even more so if it was due to a perception that he would not be able to get as much done as a caucasian would.

That's saying outright that only a white person would be effective as president.

Racial resistance will have to be faced at some point by everyone...even from their own. That should not stop anyone from doing their best and forging forward in life against all odds.
