adidasboi987 01-05-08, - 10:00 AM She is indeed a very talented entertainer whom I had the privilege to watch during my holiday. She had her show at the Rainforest Theatre and that placed was PACKED....The show was excellent and even had a cameo-appearance by Mr. Controversy himself...
Kudos to Ms Daisy....

Tafadhali 01-05-08, - 10:28 AM well to me, it appears that her act is one no different than times past denigrating black people a la minstrel shows of days gone by...SAMBOin it up portraying a drunkard woman does nothing to reinforce a positive Bahamian psyche uplifting the woman---she does nothing to give Bahamian women our rightful place in the eyes of our constitution. I have a bad taste in my mouth...this is offensive immaterial, the joke is on us--Bahamian women---dynamite daisy.

to appreciate you must see the shows in their entirety...she makes a transformation on stage that shows in spite of her sin she somehow connects with God...there are positive messages/themes in her shows....
domestic violence...
rape....
drug abuse..
murder..
discrimination..
family relations..
she can be likened to a Bahamian Madea....only better IMO
Baby Girl 01-05-08, - 10:36 AM Her show does nothing for me either...sorry. But she does have a beautiful singing voice.

tyler perry is a man---even if he is a gay man who takes the feminine role in his fanatacized gay relationships- he is a man.
ms davis is a woman who bleeds once a month---a woman who live and breathes the air of what an antiquated Bahamian constitution does to her sisters---defames us, demoralize us, makes us less than---enables the misogyny---cuddles the disrespect in our marriages, leadership roles in the church so on and so forth...her drunken stupor sluured speeched theatrics does not uplift the Bahamian woman in any way--it denigrates us---demans us and putting it on youtube---continues to emabarrass us for the whole world to see.
there's nothing funny or talented at all about it...what kind of message does it send to our children---black face and coonin' it up...my how far have we come...we all should be reeling.

theater is art and concurrently an illusion....on stage tyler perry doesn't exist....madea is a woman who inadvertently represents you in the same way ms daisy does...no difference...

what denigrates women is a common misconception of what it is to be a woman....th character daisy was created because it was familiar and to some comical...until you acknowledge or realize how many lives have been touched by her ministry you cant really stand in judgment...Daisy is of course no means the model....but her production in its entirety generates a positive message....

i still draw parallels to madea who we praise ever so greatly...its comedy...stop taking yo9urself so seriously...
adidasboi987 01-06-08, - 12:10 PM A native of Sunny Nassau, Bahamas and the youngest daughter of Bishop Ross Davis and First lady Althea Davis, Lynn Terez from an early age has shown an exceptional and unusual love for the Arts. Born July 27th, 1974 she grew up in a home filled with music as both her mother and brother were pianist. Lynn graduated from the College of The Bahamas with an Associates of Arts degree in Primary Education, and then decided to take a leap of faith and study Theatre. She enrolled at Morgan State University, Baltimore Maryland as a Theatre Arts major with a concentration in Acting in the fall of 1997 and received a B.A. Degree from the university in May 2000. Lynn Terez received both the WATERS E. TURPIN AWARD for Academic Excellence and The R. ADRIENNE BRITT AWARD for Theatrical Performance 1999-2000 from Morgan State University.
On returning home, this young Bahamian was very unsure of "what would become" of her career because acting as a profession in the Bahamas was almost non existent. However she came and shared her vision with Bahamian Cultural Icon, Mrs. Kayla Lockhart Edwards of Arts International, (now deceased) who saw her potential and agreed to direct and produce Davis' debut One Woman Show in September of 2000. From that first encounter until the last Mrs. Edwards nurtured and guided this novice actress and helped her to become what she is today. Terez considers Mrs. Edwards her mentor and continues to strive in following her example of excellence. To date, Davis has written 5 full length comedies; Daisy's Take A Dip, B. 4. U. Sip, Daisy's Conch Salad Christmas, One Stormy Night with Daisy, Daisy's Ka-Punkle-Up Vacation and the newest comedy and third DVD recording Judge Daisy. In addition to her writing and acting gifts she has scripted and directed three Bahamian plays; "My Baby Cried" by Dr. Barbra F. Brennen-Williams, "Jesus' Appeal" by Bishop Arnold E. Josey and Be True (music and lyrics by Vision)
As an actress Terez has been privileged to be under directorate of Dr. Keith Wisdom, director, producer, writer extraordinaire. Dr. Wisdom is original director for both of Terez shows featured on DVD. An international minister, Daisy as she is affectionately called, has traveled as far as India and Canada and as close as the USA (Detroit, North Carolina, Washington D. C. and Miami) and the Caribbean ( Antigua, Trinidad & Turks and Caicos Islands) ministering the gospel through comedy and drama. With great anticipation and confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ, she stands prepared to fulfill divine purpose as she leaves an indelible impression on the people of the Bahamas and indeed the World.
