View Full Version : Is there a God? Starvation, racism, crime, war!

At the beginning of 2008 I reflected on the history of the world.

We must admit that every organism is created in a manner that suggests Intelligent creation.

However, the whole ADAM/EVE and the apple garden, snake has worn thin as I age. If there is a God, why would he/she allow such death, pain, etc? Why would we have to work to prove ourselves to him/her when he/she should know our hearts from before we are born.

With so much suffering in the Bahamas, Haiti, Africa, AMerica, Europe, why doesn't this God stop it all?

Respond with your insights?

Surely the negative impact of Constantinople and King James would have affected the outcome of the bibles that they helped to edit.

Has anyone seen the original bible in Hebrew Greek and Aramaic?

That would be the one source that could probably be trusted, if any.

If you look for a God to end suffering you look in vain. Look within. All the answers are there. We make our own sufferings. We often make other peoples sufferings, or we increase them. Nature makes sufferings too - drought, hurricanes, etc. but that is the way of nature, it is not evil or good - it just “is.”

jimmy, why do you sound so much like me? it sounds like you are on a soul searching journey. who are we, why are we here, is their a god, death, heaven, hell, sexuality.

your now begining to think for your self, willing to go outside the box and not settle for the things that was feed to you by your parents soceity.

i had my journey alot sooner than people usually have theirs. and i have come to the place where common sense tells me that there is a god but who he is, what he is is still a mystery to man.

my journey has shown me that god isnt what christianity says he is. how can he be fair when he allows so much injustice in the world.

i know there is a god, and i thank god for being merciful to ME.

Thanks for the feedback brother. I've asked myself for at least 30 years (giving away my age :-). Although I know that we had to be created by an intelligent all knowing force, still haven't figured out why that force wouldn't just eliminate the pain, suffering, and cut to the chase, and give us whatever the ultimate reward is (if there is such a reward). I've seen websites with starving children, for example (I try to donate, etc) and it just blows my mind. I saw a starving child in Africa, sucking milk from a DEAD woman. So if there is a God, he or she surely baffles my mind!!

Hey sister, good to meet you. I've been in America "doing my thing" but decided to start the new year right and come back home (figuratively).

Re God or the Creator: Many of us have good inside us, and with much investment of time and money, have made such a small dent in the world's pain. The Creator/God could fix things in a split second, so I'm confused why he/she won't. Surely pain and death and poverty and suffering should not be necessary to prove we are worthy. Besides many of those suffering are kids and babies, so I don't know how much responsibility they can take for the MESSED UP world that they are born into!

I THINK that the move CIVILIZED humanity claims to become the FURTHER WE go from the NATURAL and thus from the CREATOR. Thus, I have a site I'm developing called: RECIVILIZED.com, hoping to use it as the HUB for humanity to save itself from itself!

I'm completing edits on new movies and shorts, and will have the actually site up around June. It will be located at: http://www.Recivilized.com. Today, I'll try to post a picture with an inspirational poem until the full site is ready.
