View Full Version : KUCINICH NOT OBAMA, sad to say
TheRealJimmyCurry 01-06-08, - 06:47 PM It hurts my heart slightly. I really want to see a Black man in the White house. It would be an awesome accomplishment and surely help to inspire Brown, Poor, Black, oppressed children and people around the world. BUT, the sad truth is that Obama is not the best person to be President of America.
Nor is Hillary (although it would also be great to see a woman President and END the good ole network of Presidents).
THE BEST PERSON FOR THE JOB IS: DENNIS KUCINICH.
Now why would I come out in support of Mr. Kucinich when he will probably not win this time??? Because humans that care must now start to vote for teh persons with the Best Platforms NO MATTER THEIR COLOR, RELIGION, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, ETC.
So, my friends and family. Spread the word, let's please get behind Mr. Kucinish, so that the political machines, sponsors, supporters, and the media take the message of: WORLD PEACE, RELIGIOUS AND ETHNIC TOLLERANCE, EDUCATIONAL ENHANCEMENTS, etc... Seriously.
In life we should not just do something for the short-term victory (this Presidential race) BUT FOR THE LONG-TERM VICTORIES. Our children deserve better.
The media will not give Mr. Kucinich much coverage, but read up on his objectives, campaign, and see that he is literally the BEST CANDIDATE that AMERICA HAS EVER HAD. Better than JFK, Carter, Clinton put together. Sadly, he is not the "fly guy/cute boy so people are LAME and judge on Model looks as opposed to Awesome Integrity"!!!
VOTE KUCINICH!!!!!! Spread the word at your schools, churches, family events, media associates, email databases. I'm emailing a few thousand people in my email database, and let's "SAVE OUR WORLD"!
TheRealJimmyCurry 01-06-08, - 07:16 PM Why do I post this plea? Why encourage you to read the following info on Mr. Kucinich? Because the office of the President of the United States basically impacts the whole world. It's more important than most people even fathom.
So whether this time or next, we MUST protect our children's (the youths) future by supporting someone, not just because they're a woman, or Christian, or Muslim, or went to High School with us, or Black/Brown but because their PLATFORM clearly shows that they care about HUMANITY!!!!
See:

When you hear news stories about him (the few times the media gives him any coverage) think of Bahamians like me, living in America, and PRAYING FOR OUR WORLD! Feel the spiritual vibe we can generate!
One love, One world, One People....

Here there Jimmy,
Welcome to BI! Checked out this guys on cnn, time, politico...wondering have you checked him out on other websites? Even if he were more highly educated, and didn't make major political blunders in the past - he's been around since the 70's(?) and it appears to me that the American electorate is looking for a candidate that can will represent a change in status quo. Just my impression......

YES AMERICA IS LOOKING FOR A CHANGE. I think that people are waking up to the political games, Internationally. Sadly, though, the TRICKSTERS will only get slicker with their games. They'll find people that look like regular people, they'll spend a bit more money on youth programs, but they'll still be up to their games. Re political blunders, remember that blunders are sometimes just "doing the right thing without the support of the wrong people". Thanks for your response. Glad to see more people progressive and politically active and aware!!

Hey I've been in entertainment since 1983, been fortunate to accomplish some Bahamian first and still can't get most Bahamian entertainment/film organizations, etc to show me a lil love. So similarly, for Kucinich, being around a long time doesn't mean HE HAS SOLD HIS SOUL!! I think we should evaluate experience but also sincerity!
Anyway I enjoy intelligent, thought provoking discussions, so these discussions are really heavely and inspiring. Stay strong, stay sincere, stay wise, stay true!! JC

JC - Don't think he's sold his soul, and I can appreciate the value of experience. I looked at different sources of information on this guy and while I know that the spin doctors are slick - If I were able to vote, I'm not sure he would be the candidate for me. :)

Kindly give me some points that concern you. Re education, some of my best friends have degrees (post and undergrads). Then again some of my worst enemies have degrees also. I've found that degrees give paper certificatioin and some additional academic and intellectual strength. But the true measure of a man / woman are not granted by any degree granting institution. But I look forward to your stating any present-day facts that could be construed as negative re Kucinich. Thx for your feedback.
Tafadhali 01-06-08, - 11:07 PM the same man with the 10 year old wife(who appears to be an airhead)...are you people serious?
islandgyal 01-06-08, - 11:14 PM this message brought to you by bill richardson :footmouth ... i've kept an eye on this guy, and can't quite believe that he isn't doing better in the usa polls. he's got more experience than all a dem combined.
TheRealJimmyCurry 01-07-08, - 11:06 AM Kucinich has stated, it seems, that he wants his people to back OBAMA, if Kucinich has no shot.
What a commendable thing to do.
So I'll say: If Kucinich is losing, go with OBAMA.
I like Edwards a bit too, he is honest.
I must admit that this year has Presidential Candidates (Excluding Rudolph Guiliana, pure evil) that have some quality. Even the Republicans have a few that are only 50% evil this time. :-)
TheRealJimmyCurry 01-07-08, - 11:10 AM the same man with the 10 year old wife(who appears to be an airhead)...are you people serious?
His wife is not 10, come on. And I say "love is love". Some of us have mates that other people may be surprised about, but hey, LIVE AND LET LIVE. Nothing illegal about having a wife that's about 20 years younger than he is. Hope he doesn't have a heart attack.
We need to get AWAY FROM THE TRIVIAL (wife's age, who smoked weed, who's gay, who this and who that).
Brother, the real issues are deeper and more serious. Heh, when I'm 65, if I could get a wife that was 35, and we loved each other, then people should mind "day business". I'm married so that won't happen, though :-)
Now, if an older guy marries a woman, and he has other outstanding virtues, who are we to cast stones at him. Let her put on the "poom poom short" and let him role out "his Geritol" and let them live. Come on folks...
Brother, you out here talking, and I bet you when you get older, some young gal "gun swing your head and have you spending all your conch snack money. Stop playing." lol
TheRealJimmyCurry 01-07-08, - 11:14 AM I must add though, that if an older man (or woman) leaves his WIFE (or mate) for ANYONE then he/she is LAME and a sorry excuse for an adult. Whether or not the other person is older or younger, you NEVER leave your man or woman for someone else, just cause you think they LOOK better. That's so weak, and NEVER lasts!
Now if he's in love (and she just married him for his political genius) then let him enjoy himself, the truth will come out, but that's not our business. But from what I've seen, she could have gotten many other men (business guys at her age, and politicians). She decided to go with a nice, older man, who is a genius, smart and probably treats her better than most of the younger DOGS out here. For real. You know how younger brothers typically are (until they mature, if at all).
But you raise an interesting point that I'll post online. Looking foward to your response brother (and we gonna have our eyes on you at Junkanoo to BUST you trying to chat WIT dem young gals. lol
Garfield 01-08-08, - 12:39 PM http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/01/01/kucinich-tells-supporters-to-caucus-for-obama/
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Representative Dennis Kucinich urged his Iowa followers today to select Senator Barack Obama as their second choice at the caucuses on Thursday if his support is not strong enough to be viable in the 1,781 precincts across the state.
“Senator Obama and I have one thing in common: Change,” Mr. Kucinich said in a statement today.
The two spoke briefly by telephone before Mr. Obama flew here for an afternoon rally. In a statement, Mr. Obama took advantage of the opportunity to point out that he, along with Mr. Kucinich, opposed the war in Iraq. “He and I have been fighting for a number of the same priorities,” Mr. Obama said.
