Hi all I spent 12 hrs in A&E PMH from 11 am to 11pm

He fell out of bed on Friday ripped a few layers of skin off about a 2" Area of his left forearm. I cleaned it uo cut away the loose skin and dressed it. but the thing is he hit his side I felt he broke ribs but refused to go to the hospital. Well 5am this morning he was hollering in pain (could not even roll over)and could not breath he would not go to the hospital till 11 am.
He has 3 broken ribs low blood O2 cause he can't take a deep breath. They checked him out real good and finaly sent him home with meds and an apointment for a follow up

woah!... hope everything turns out O.K., No repercussions I hope; Please tell him for me that i wish him a quick recovery:)

So sorry to hear about your father, Vicky. I hope he feels better soon. He is lucky to have such a loving person to look after him.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. Give him my regards. 12 hours at PMH? No wonder he did not want to go. Five minutes in there is depressing enough!

Im so glad to hear he will be ok.

I just wanted to say, this is why some older folk fade away, their kids DO NOT check up on them and they are left in pain with no on to help them.

I dont worry much about my dad now a days for he has a wondefull wife who takes real good care of him, if she wasnt around I think I would worry my self skinny!

I am as helpful to the elderly as I possibly can be, might it be helping them out a seat, walking up or down a stairs, buying them a cup of coffee or even helping them across the road.........

Hey Vicky, I hope your dad is doing fine now.

Had Dad to the surgical clinic PMH on Friday as directed by the Dr at A&E. They checked him over really well and said his lungs seem to be fine and if he starts having any difficulty breathing or excessive pain to bring him in. Other that that he is to take it easy for a few weeks.

guess he will miss his mud wrestling match lol.

Dad is back in A&E this time its his heart Possibly Sick sinus syndrome. His heart rate went up to 172 and very low to almost not readable blood presure.
He has been admited.

Had my own experience with A&E this weekend. My mom was admitted at 2 AM Sunday morning after spending most of Sat evening there.

The place was swarming with police on Saturday evening.
