I think it's quite admirable that so many people were concerned about the casuarina tree on Shirley Street being chopped down to accommodate the bleachers, but how come nothing more has been said about the silk cotton tree destroyed on the Anglican Archbishop's premises on Shirley Street?

This lovely old tree seems to have been surreptitiously carted away in pieces and I understand a new development is going up where the tree once stood.
