to have these things play on TV, there need to be sponsors...it is not ZNS, that is the problem...its lack of sponsorship....

I would love to support ZNS, it is our local Bahamian station. I like the idea of ZNS focusing on quality local programming, instead of out of date network re-runs. It is a fact that most Bahamians have Cable television and have become used to a higher standard of programming. I dont expect ZNS to be like Cable, in fact I dont think that should be their goal, but like I said before to focus on quality loacal programming, and providing a platform for young talented Bahamians, and c'mon people stop playa hating ZNS, because before there was cable television, ZNS was what many of us had to contend with. I can remeber a time when you could count the number of those big satellite dishes that took up half a person's yard on one hand. Lets try to make ZNS a better station, instead of downing it every second we get, its ours, lets make it better people!

If the majority of Bahamians do not watch ZNS now, wouldn't it be fewer person watching ZNS if it were to show more local programming. Native Stew is an excellent show, showcasing Bahamian talent, however, if Everybody loves Raymond is on Cable, Native Stew will have to wait.

All that means is that the native shows need to become more competitive. They need to cater to the desires of the typical Bahamian and entice them to watch Bahamian programming. Native Stew is a really good show and I loved to watch it when I was in Nassau. With a little more editing it could be a big hit.

i actually like native stew too but if everybody loves raymond is on i would watch it over that. but thats what i am saying when i say we need bahamian sit coms and bahamian drama's and bahamian movies. in jamiaca they have this one show that i cant remeber the name of it but it was a local comedy and that was the funniest thing, it could rival an american sitcom. in today entertainment world there is tivo and auto record VCR so you could record one show and watch the other then watch the recorded one later so if ZNS really had some good quality stuff i believe people will watch.

Am happy to see some one from zns keeps up with this forum ...because since the start of this thread , there were a couple programs added :cheers: , but still too much MBC...why advocate for B.E.T to be shut down when MBC does the same things from time to time :sarcastic

that was last weekend by the way when my cable was off for 4 days ... the only near decent show was darrell miller .. even so the quality was like i was watching something transmitting through a tin can ... all day saturday and sunday was choir singing, but they couldnt sing ... and some church services that would make pulling a tooth feel alot better ... we dont have 1 single TV station in the Bahamas, its pathetic ... yeah thats right, ZNS cant even call itself a TV station it sucks sooo bad!! :sparky:

o the joy of reading . bahamians hate reading unless its the punch. the only thing they like to read out of the dailies is who got raped,murdered ,etc.thats why on this forum most of the comments are nothing more than mere ramblings.

In my opinion ZNS can do alot better...yes sponsorship is a problem. however like someone said in another post...'Who sponsors MBC?'
MBC has a show called Black College Talent Hour...ZNS can do something like that...go to the high schools and ask students to show case their talent....I gurantee that show will be watched.
Channel 12 does much better than ZNS...it has the famous 'My Five Cents' show and now even their news is better and they report accurately...ZNS does not give the proper facts and they also misrepresent the facts. They have this thing about panicking the public. They like to give the impression that everything is fine.
All it takes is someone with vision.....if they put together a good show people will watch and talk about it to others, the viewership will go up and the sponsors will be fighting for their commercials to be aired during that show.

This may be another thread but what about the new logo....I like the old one better...this one just has the national colors and the type face used looks old and played out.

Also many people watch the news on ZNS so if they advertize their new shows during the news, the word will get out and people will know when to tune in
