View Full Version : Bridgewater Court Case
bahamiangoddess 01-24-08, - 08:15 PM After court today, it seems like Pleasent Bridgewater may be in lil hot water. One of the justices hearing the case for Laing said that if the Bridgewate had knowledge of illegal activites before hand and did nothing is a matter of serious concern.
If this is true, Bridgewater really should have let those sleeping dogs lie.
If proven, this could be cause for calls for her to be disbarred.

She always was a nasty, self-rightous (*&#^%) knew it would be deleted.
She needs to go swimming with her friends, the sharks.

Marco City resident to take legal action!
Source: (http://www.grandbahamainfo.com/articles/gb-01-24-08/marcocity-01-24-08.htm)
A resident of the Marco City Constituency is preparing to take legal action against the former Member of Parliament for the area, Pleasant Bridgewater for what has been termed defamation of character. Following the 2007 General Election, the Progressive Liberal Party set out to contest 3 seats won by the government, among them the Marco city seat. Court documents filed by Mrs. Bridgewater in June of 2007 allege that some 181 persons who were not Bahamians or who were not ordinarily resident in the Marco City Constituency voted in the election, unlawfully contributing to the win of incumbent Member of Parliament Zhivargo Laing. Gaynell Garland, a resident in Marco City for 10 years, says she was surprised to find that she had been named in Mrs. Bridgewater's list as a person who voted illegally in the 2007 general election. "This is a slap in the face," says Garland.
Interesting Qoute from Article: “I feel like it’s my constitutional right as a Bahamian to vote for who I see fit to run the country…we are allowed to change our minds… If I was Bahamian enough to vote for her in the 2002 general election, what has changed now?”

Even Crisco Butt is now saying that he is rethinking the Pleasant Bilgewater case and that they will have to come to some sort of decision. When it comes to making decisions, Crisco Butt is on unfamiliar ground.
