I ran into one of my friends today who I hadn't seen for several years. Straight away I noticed her weight loss which I congratulated her for. She said her church/she goes on a 7-14 day fast every month. OK cool I thought without comment.

She goes on to tell me about her PROFIT!! How he calls out people by their FULL names and tells them what God told him about them!! She sites a few examples like how her PROFIT told a woman she was gong to get some money, the VERY NEXT DAY, the woman's boss told her that he was going to pay her a Christmas bonus even though she had been sick most of last year.

He told another woman that if she plants a $1000 "seed," she will earn it back by the end of the month. At the end of the month the woman got her assue draw from someone who had been ducking her for months!!

Every few minutes is was "Praise God, Praise God"and what the "spirit" told her to say or do and how not to trust her co-workers as they were jealous of her and her husband!!

Anyway, to make a looooooooong story short, she invited me to church this Sunday as it was a special day.

What is so special about THIS Sunday I asked?

Facts, I hope you meant PROPHET and not PROFIT, there is a big difference.

It hurts my heart to hear about people who mean well being duped, but if they spent more time reading the Bible than hanging on every word 'their prophet' says, they wouldn't be so carried away. For those of you who believe in God...read your Bible...seriously. And whatever is said to you, "prophetically" or not, test it against the Word. If it doesn't line up, well there you go.

Not only in the above passage, but throughout the Bible, people who just accept everything they're fed and run after "this word" and "that prophet" are considered babes and children in the spiritual realm - regardless of how long they've been Christians. I encourage all of us to dig deeper and grow. This blind-religion thing is getting old. Oh, and the Bible makes it clear in several different books that false prophets are gonna get what's coming to them.

If a sweetheart is holding you back, you can't run from him, you need to tell him to go!

If debt is holding you back, you can't run from it, you have to face your creditors and work out an amicable solution to the problem.

I was just passing The Dundas on Mackey Street, and there he is on a big sign grinning up, advertising his new church. :what: I guess he's trying to get members of his former church on their way to church.

Wish I was in Nassau . I'd drive on over there and have myself a good laugh.i guess you'll see many of them in the mall on saturday buying up a brand new track suit for the big ocassion on sunday. seriously though, it's really sad what people will do just to feel a part of something. there are too many examples to count of people doing outrageous things in the name of God. you just have to pray they wake up and 'catch sense' before they give their entire rent money and kids' college funds to pastor.

Man how I cu get in on dis church racket? What I need do to get me a plane, a house, and free access to all kinds of sinning my "lambs" will defend me on?
