Is the Johnny Canoe restaurant really closing? If so when?

Ya they got screwed by the Baha Mar people or by whichever big company took over the hotel they in now.

There was some stories about the deal in the Punch, can't remember the exact details though.

Dang, Baha Mar takin' ova errything. I need to plan my last meal with them, so someone please supply the date.

Sunday 27th (today) was their last day of operation. After tonight. That's it!

just as well..
the last time I ate there, the fries had been cooked in stale oil ugh!!!

If they wanted to stay open the had ample opportunity to find a replacement location.

This was one of my favorite restaurants. I have been in mourning ever since they stopped serving breakfast.

This is what I heard as well. Apparently (and I could be wrong), the owners at Johnny Canoe were getting alot of freebies while housed at Nassau Beach. They new location offered to them apparently would not had afforded them the freebies they were used to all those years. What kind of freebies? I heard they weren't paying rent at Nassau Beach for awhile, among other things. I also heard that the owners are bankrupt.
