Romney ended up doing the same thing in MA.

A $245M deficit to pay for healthcare.

In truth both Romney and Huckabee were between a rock and a hard place.

I still think Romney has good fiscal ideas, but he needs to come clean.

If we are going to stay in Iraq AND stimulate the economy AND fix education and healthcare, taxes aren't going lower or deficit spending will increase and continue...

The rich will still get their tax cuts, I'm sure he'll still do that so he can say he acted on a campaign promise. To hell with the middle and lower class, they aren't Republicans anyway...

Plus his own failure to change the management of the Big Dig. He says he inherited the project, but by the time he was Governor, the project was in big trouble. He should have changed the project management team so Boston wouldn't have to deal with the leaks (and deaths) left by poor construction.

I wish The Bahamas had Romney's idea with illegal immigrants......If you are illegal, you go home. We will alow your children to finish the school year, and the adaults to settle their affairs within a timeframe, but you will go home, and then join the line if you wish to be int his country.

If Hillary wins the Democrat nomination, I will be forced to favor Romney.....LOL, like it matters if I like either nominee since I can't vote there, but romeny seems to have the idea of how to get the US economy at least stable and not just proped up with tax rebates.

Honestly I feel like with Hillary, we might get an about turn of every issue she has talked about once she meets "those problems on the desk in the oval office on day one", as she likes to repeat every half an hour.

I'll have to look up Romney more, but what is his stance on Iraq?

I don't htink any country in world history has been to war and had a stellar economy during it, since a considerable about of resources goes into a war effort. Maybe a great economy after, but never during.

And Sunny I'm shocked that you havent changed your avatar yet. Where are the many faces of Sunnyjohn?! :D

As per the last debate: stay and win the war on terror.

I don't like him...and according to news reports, many of his fellow Republican politicians don't like him either. If he wins the Republican nomination, I can't wait to see who he picks to run with him for the White House.

Whoever will serve his purpose to win the election, I'm sure.

He's going very 'negative' today, barely talking about himself. He's only talking about McCain working with the Democrats and Huckabee siphoning off his voter base.

He would be in a very different position if he kept his punches above the belt from day one. He helped make Huckabee and McCain credible by giving them so much attention.

he'd have been far better off running as the person he was when he managed the affairs of massachusetts, rather than twisting himself into a pretzel to become the poster boy of the conservatives ... i like the guy that launched bain capital, was active in his church, ran the olympics and was governor of massachusetts.

this new guy just scares too many people, i think :footmouth.
