I like Romney and voted for him - although I think it is going to be all McCain after tomorrow.

Good for you. He does not sound as gung ho as Bush did- well, Bush did not sound gung ho anyways. But, he is not part of any political action group, hell bent on world domination like the PNAC.

I don't trust GOP leadership the way I used to anymore. The only GOP candidate, in this election, who did not give me the heebie jeebie's (Giuliani)...at the same time...not come across as blind to the global terror threat (Huckabee and Paul), was McCain, and now not only Romney but, he has an economic plan for Americans. That is something we should like.

Still, the total package going forward, is McCain- he can get the advisors and he is not a novice, to fiscal and economic policy. Also, he has an idea on how to clean up Iraq and take on the terrorists, seriously!

Romney has not convinced me on the war and terror threat.

Romney is getting more desperate by the day.

His people are on all the news programs deflecting pointed questions and answering in circles.

Having dealt with the Utah Mormons, I can tell you they're as cut throat and mercenary as any 80's Wall Street shark. Romney's changing his stance on issues according to poll numbers which doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence that he's a man of integrity.

I like Huckabee because I think he's honest. I don't think he can win because of his lack of security experience, but he seems to be the most genuine Republican since Reagan.

That said, I sure hope Obama takes out Hillary and doesn't put her on the ticket either. Her boy Bill is a loose cannon. There is no room for 3 people at the POTUS / VP levels.

Huckabee is a tax raising democrat in Republican clothing.

I thought he was for the fair tax, based on consumption versus income?

You know what really chaps my behind, I actually LIKED the Clintons until this whole primary season started.

I campaigned for Bill as a undergrad during his first run for the White House WAY WAY WAY back in the 1990's.

All these years, I thought he would have grown up and put this petty, spiteful nonsense behind him.

I know you have to be tough, but this crap is outrageous.

Islandgyal, you said it best in another thread - what a brilliant, tragic, bitter man...

Oh,and Barack will be the underdog in the race all the way to the day he is sitting in the business side of the desk in the Oval Offfice.

GO Sibleaus! Go Richardson! GO BARACK!

Huckabee is a tax raising democrat in Republican clothing.
The Christian right LOVES him because he comes out strong against gay marriage and abortion.
He said he supports an ammendment to the Constitution barring both and would actively push it.
That dude is NO Democrat (and would probably have a heart attack if he read that.)

A social conservative but a fiscal democrat. He raised taxes tremendously when Governor. He put in a bunch of entitlement programs in Arkansas. He grew the government in Arkansas. He is a fiscal democrat.

He also turned Arkansas around by finally doing road construction after the Federal Gov't refused to fund their portion.

He brought good paying jobs back to Arkansas during a huge state-wide recession.

Being left alone by the Federal gov't, the only way he could bring the state about was by taxes. What choice did he really have?

At least he acknowledges that taxes went up as opposed to Romney who aways says that the facts are incorrect if they show him in a poor light, yet facts are bedrock when he looks good.
