Well today in our society we have seen a decline in our families. Fathers are not at home taking care of their families, or doing fatherly duties, mothers out working to provide for the family, or out doing anything other than being a mother or an example setter for her children. Then the children are left home, latch-key, in gangs, abusing substances, being abused by others etc. Which have become a serious problem. Well I have seen that children are leading their parents and not the other way around. Back in the old days and even still exist within some families, the child had no say in anything they were just who they were Children! If a child stepped out of line in a lot of cases they were chastized for what you did. Just the other day I witnessed a parent not taking on the role of a parent. It disturbed me so much that I asked myself daily as to who is in charge?....To me it seems like the children are. Is it ever going to get back to the way it was: where parents were not scared to take charge of their children, where neighbours also watched each others children and reprimanded them when they did wrong; where there was a distinction between the children and the parents; where roles were not confused?
Sad but true, to me, children are leading many parents and to many this has become a great disturbance.

In the West, parents are call child abusers if they spank their children in public (or in private for that matter). They are sent to prison for years just for correcting their child.

We have taken the power away from the logical parent and given it to a learning child. Children don't really know what's best for them, now that the parent will be prosecuted for even thinking of spanking the child, they will never know.

Now don't get me wrong, I believe that there is a fine line between spanking for correction and abuse. I don't advocate child abuse in any way, I do advocate that we take charge of our kids, before it is too late.

Oh yeah in Western Society, the kids are literally in charge of their parents. I am in Canada at the moment, and the amount of rude no manners kids I see every day, insulting their parents, and back talking them, its a completely shocking experience. But for parents who stand back and allow their kids to treat them as such I wonder. But the state or government really has alot of parents on a leashhold when it comes to disciplining the kids to the point that the power has shifted. One pat on the back and every social worker wants to cry abuse, abuse, abuse. Now I am in no way condoning the abuse of a child but a spanking has caused many a child not to repeat their offence, just for fear of a spanking

I hate to use the bible on this site because someone is always ready to say you don't follow all the rules of the bible ...

but the bible does say that the fathers are responsible for their households, maybe a single women just can't do it, just as the avegare man can't, and same sex marriages are even worse.

the bible tells children to honour their parents, and tells fathers not to provoke their children to wrath.

it tells us to bend the tree while it is young.

but the devil has a way of finding the smallest things - like a handful of bad parents abusing their children, and amplifying it.

now no parent is allowed to responsibly spank their kids for correction. wasn't the devil that convinced the bad parents to harm their kids in the first place?

anything that can be used will be used to change God's will to man's will. And often it is a minority that causes these irrational laws to be passed against everyone. Instead of bringing justice to the silly people we all suffer for te minority.

just imagine in few more years, when these youth become adults, and change even more biblical rules - the end is certainly near, and it is becoming worse every day.

that is why every one is always talking about the good old days, cause it getting worse all the time.

Well, don't forget this one Foolishness lives in the heart of a child and the rod of correction will drive it out!
It is true that the devil has a way of blowing things up, taking one little situation to destroy a whole system....look at the educational system....instead of wanting to go to school to teach, teachers are leaving the profession and the government has to import teachers from all over just to fill voids that could have been filled with Bahamain teachers....it too much stress!

Don't forget that the teens are growing up so quick they don't have time to mature because of certain situations that are going on around them and the stuff that are happening to them. They are the ones and along with many other adults, see that correcting a child's behaviour is wrong only because they themselves don't like to be corrected. I believe that most parents let the children get away with too many "cute" stuff....things that really annoy me. I know a little spanking never hurt me and I am sure that foolishness was droved out of me....I knew what I was supposed to do and not do.

As I understand it Paul thought the end of times was coming in his life time. HHHmm thats a whole new thought. If Paul did think this he was wrong. HHHHmmmm I am going to dig into this more.
