I know as with most of the Caribbean, many Bahamians probably left their nation, I was wondering how many people here still live in the Bahamas ?

Why would you think that? Most Bahamians live here, in the Bahamas.

YUP! Bahamians are generally NOT migrant-minded.... no sir. We LUV home (I did say generally)... count me in now AND later (well, Prince Charmin' may convince me to ..... :footmouth) :shaky:

Yeah, the last time I looked and that was a while ago, I think the number of citizens abroad was somwhere 10,000. I think it was less that that. I wish I could find the numbers, even if it was from that while back. It could have risen or dropped, because some of those people are now citizens of other countries, but I think we need to know the amount that go abroad each year for school. That is the bulk of the people abroad, and some return in one way or another, either to work, start a business, or just chronically visit.

Because most WI islands have a diaspora. My island of Antigua is one of the worst in terms of that because a lot of people left. Other islands have smaller diasporas. I wasn't sure about the Bahamas so I figured I should ask.

It's good though that a lot of Bahamians stay in the land.
