Let's face it Ting_um- this democratic race has had too many surprises that no one's calculated.

Hillary was supposed to win Iowa...she got dissed. She had to cry to win NH by a thin thread. She has lost 10 seats in a row. Republicans and independents, have been RUNNING to Obama- go figure.

Hillary would have won California and NY, because they are HUGE liberal democrat strongholds, and are the homes of the Democratic establishment- big corporations in NY and the Hollywood types, in California. The established media in Hollywood and NY, and the big wigs in NY, favour Hillary- the home town girl. Even though she did not carry LA in the California primary- because the Latino vote, came out in support of her, before the Obama campaign has unspun the racial attack ads by the Billary campaign- Hillary losing California would have been a major upset.

She nearly lost New Mexico- after the pundits, has said that she had the Latino vote locked up. These states, NYand Cali, ARE, the equivalent to the GOP established corporate big-wigs in NY, and like what we have in Texas, Florida, Colorado and Conn.

Obama, like McCain, has been winning this battle in the middle. Hillary will most likely taste defeat in Wisconsin and Hawaii and in Penn- if she is not careful. I only see her taking Texas and, by the time Obama runs the NAFTA issue down Ohio constituents throats, it's a done deal. Ohio is a state that's lost just as much as Michigan has lost after NAFTA- Ohio, is a big swing state, filled with independents and soft core Republicans as well. Hillary is not going to win the popular vote.

On the limb....again....
Hawaii- Obama
Wisconsin- Obama
Penn- Obama
Texas- Hillary, by a razor thin margin
Ohio- Obama

Barring blatant malfeasance, to which we should not expect from the US electoral process and something you would expect from the Bahamian electoral process, Obama is going all the way. Unless his debate with Hillary, goes terribly wrong- Hillary, is on the out.

I don't disagree.

I'm not discussing the campaign. I'm discussing the candidates. In a discussion of candidates, Obama is a loser. In a discussion of a campaign, then the tables are turned. Primarily because Americans are stupid. Particularly the DNC. The republicans win because republicans are smart. They don't waste time fighting over pennies. Its all or nothing. Which is why the Republican race is decided.

In the republican caucuses/primaries - independents are not allowed to vote. In the democratic caucuses/primaries - they are. The favorite amongst democrats is Hillary. The favorite amongst independents is Obama. But this is a *DEMOCRATIC* campaign. If independents want to participate, they either choose a side or wait until the national race.

Republicans told independents to go to he11. Democrats on the other did not. Which is why Obama is where he is and Hillary is where she is. Even in the allocation of delegates the republicans don't play that idiotic game of sharing delegates - you either win all or none. Simple.

Barack Obama will be the token president - the one time America picked a black president. After four years he'll be gone. And white americans can feel better about themselves and black americans can feel accomplished. But...for 10 years, the Clinton name has struck fear in the hearts of the haves and hope in the hearts of the have-nots. Other than the Gates Foundation - name a big name that has done as much as the Clinton institute, not only for poor americans but for poor people on the planet. Obama only saw poor people when he needed some crack.
