My ex-girlfriend use to tell me that the pain of regret is worse than any other pain. Come to think of it she was a PLP also. I wonder if Christie ga get da second chance that he so often spoke of, and only gave to the PLP criminal element!

"We have allowed a culture to develop where PLPs question another’s loyalty because they dare to have a different point of view. To be strong, our party must be the melting pot of diverse ideas and thoughts. To close our ranks to new thoughts, to new views and new approaches is a clear indication that we have lost our political strength."Mr. R. Rigby former Chairman

"the PLP must embrace change and new ideas from the youth and involve them in the process of putting those ideas and changes to work for the party's benefit".Hon. V. A. Grey

As long as PC is the leader the youth will be surpressed in the PLP

We don’t understand the concept of governance, which involves a lot of things apart from making speeches and so on…And this goes for when I was there too. We weren’t perfect, but we were better than anything you’ve seen since then," Paul Adderley former Attorney General

"I do believe and subscribe to the view being expressed by the government and my successor in office, an honourable man, whom I respect, that crime is a national problem. It is a problem for all of us". Hon. C. Pratt former Minister of National security

This has been a fun week. But I leave you with this: no organization can succeed without a succession plan. This has not yet been addressed at this convention but it is a subject that we cannot escape. It cannot be avoided. If we do not plan, we will die. Hon. F. Mitchell former Minister of Foreign Affaies

"Bahamians are making a request for good governance, be it PLP or FNM. Bahamians, are demanding a government whose policies reflect things that are in the best interest of The Bahamas as a whole.....
.........this will come as a shock to some of us in this honorable House, but Members of Parliament are no longer seen by the public as prima donnas. No longer do Bahamians accept that long held view that once one becomes a Member of Parliament, that one is the focus of importance. No longer in Bahamian politics is it me or you who are big shots in politics. The change that is taking place is the Bahamian people are saying that it's not about you, but it's all about the country." Hon. M. Adderlery

Ahhh.... the message is finally begining to seep in. Now I hope they all take note and serve accordingly.

"It would appear that many openly wish for economic calamity to jump start their derailed and scarred political psyches, and would put their personal political ambition over that of the well-being and healthy performance of this economy," Hon. K. Gibson, Independent MP

We as representatives of the people have not provided the example, leadership or commitment that are needed for our neighbourhoods and communities. Hon. Dr. B. Nottage

I completely concur with this view! The question now is what are they prepared to do in light of this confession.
