Ian Hutchinson was sentenced to life in Prison today for the murder of Jackie "Lil" Stunt Moxey.

If he cant get the death penalty den I een know what to say.

I wanted him to get it too as his guilt was obvious. But if he gets the death penalty, that would mean probably at least 4 more years in appeals which would probably take 1 1/2years just to get the first appeal started. So at least 5 1/2 more years.

Let's just pray that he is not pardoned a couple decades from now, when the public have forgotten about this story.

I think the victims/families of those offenders, who are being considered for pardon, should be notified and be allowed to give an impact statement, which should be used in determining whether these individual will be released. Too many times we simply forget about the victim and their families and place our focus on the offender.

Does the term life in prison here in the Bahamas equate to the remainder of a person's natural life? A one year prison term equates to just eight calender months, so I must ask. If not, he could be out in less than two decades.

Dey wan release the fella who kill my friend in high school. Say he went to jail at fifteen and is now thirty so he been in jail half his life and should be released. BULL CRAP I say...half his life in jail so what? My friend STILL DEAD. Aint no retribution for him, aint no coming back for him, he been dead for fifteen years and ga still be dead. Why should his killer be released because he spent half his life in jail?
