Patience is a virtue ...

I do Vicky, but they must coincide with my religion.

I said I do not follow all, and will not teach others to break them either.

Try to follow them vicky, don't try to break them, and teach others that breaking them is ok as well.

Proverbs 9:9
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

here's a good one from my bible ...

Jesus' own words too I think ...

Matthew 5
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

I do to bsmbahamas but they must coincide with my faith.

You teach by example not do as I tell you don't do as I do.
Try to follow them vicky, don't try to break them, and teach others that breaking them is ok as well.
I don't tell anyone its ok to break Christ teachings. Just as I am trying to get you to understand and follow them.

conveiantly you left out this 1.

Matthew 5:17
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

Thus the laws you quote are fulfilled.
Oh and add this to the list

Matthew 22
37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

no on can spin or twist Matthew 22 37-40

Matthew 22
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

the law hangs on these 2 commands, not supercedes them.

let's make this simple, shall we?

just show us where the bible agrees with same sex marriage.

we are told to love our God first, then to love our neighbours.

Deuteronomy 5
29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

Matthew 5
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

By advocating same sex union you are teaching that it is ok to break God's law. You are tearing down not building up. why not form a group to advance God's word, instead of being a part of a group that goes against it?

So how is it you can pick and choose which commandments to follow and teach and I can't????
Have you ever told some one its ok to by and wear an item of clothing of mixed fiber????
Please note Christ said Commandments not law. Please note in Matthew 22 40 nthere is a differance in commandments and law.

vicky there is no commandment or law that condones homosexuality or marriages of same gender persons.

Oh and Christ made no condemnation of homosexuality either.
So the laws is fulfilled by Christ and Christ made no reference to homosexuality.
But Christ did teach that there would be people born that did not fit the male female role. And Science has confirmed it people are born physically and mentally different from male and or female.
Christ also taught we must treat others as we our selves want to be treated. Do you want government to dictate to you whom you can marry?
Lets say we carry this a bit more extreme.
In the Bible it says each after its own kind. People are different. Different races.

So how would you feel if you are a black man and in love with a white woman and the laws said no interracia marriage because the Bible says each after its own kind?

Oh and lets add more lets say you are of the faith that dose not practice each after its own kind? So in your faith interracial marriage is fine.

You still have not said why you can pick and choose the laws in the Bible you will follow but I can’t pick and choose the ones I will follow???

1. I would like for Vicky to point out the exact words where Christ said that some peolpe were born that "do not fit the male or female role". Not something that Vicky defines as meaning that. Because to your understanding CHrist might have said something...and to someone else it may mean something different; because the bible is written in a way that people can interpret it for themselves; still there are things spelled out bluntly, like"Thou shalt not kill". So can you point out where Christ says point blank that some people were born that "do not fit the male or female role"?

2. This question is for everyone to answer....Do y'all think that there is a possiblity that some of the writings in the bible that we consider "laws" are actually laws of the land during the times that the passages were written, and not "commandments" from God? Could the writers have been documenting laws that were of those times, that some rulers/kings had set in place? If so, this could have burdened us with so many contradictions that people face today with regards to faith in the bible.

Because to your understanding CHrist might have said something...and to someone else it may mean something different; because the bible is written in a way that people can interpret it for themselves; still there are things spelled out bluntly, like"Thou shalt not kill". Christ said it much better and covered most all the Ten Commandments.
Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you. You don't want anyone to kill you so you kill no one. You don't want anyone the steal from you, so you don't steal from anyone. If you give someone to much change you are glad when they point it out and give it back, you should be glad to give back the extra change if someone make a mistake and gives you too much.
. So can you point out where Christ says point blank that some people were born that "do not fit the male or female role"?
Gnostic Gospels Thomas 22 Jesus saw some babies nursing. He said to his disciples, "These nursing babies are like those who enter the kingdom."
They said to him, "Then shall we enter the kingdom as babies?"
Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]."

You see for Christ sex (as in whats between your legs) and gender were not important. I think Paul even make referance to this as well.

My thing is if it was not an important an issue for Christ why is it an important issue for Christians????

I have done that on other threads no point in repating it here.
