Lo there do I see my Father, Lo there do I see my Mother, Lo there do I see my Sisters and Brothers. I see the line of my people back to the beginning. They do call to me, to take my place, In Heaven, Where the brave may live forever.

Yup...first heard it on The 13th Warrior. Agreed. Especially when you consider
Matthew [12:48-49]
Luke [11:27-28]

Ah but in the 13th Warrior it was said like this:

Lo there do I see my Father, Lo there do I see my Mother, Lo there do I see my Sisters and Brothers. I see the line of my people back to the beginning. They do call to me, to take my place, In the halls of Valhalla, Where the brave may live forever.

Here is another interesting prayer. It is a Dinner Grace. Popular at one time in the Navy. It is short and to the point. The ship is in calm waters. No enemies on the horizon. The Dinner table is groaning with food - more food than one can eat, the prayer is for the same circumstances for all people.

"As we fare may others fare. Amen"
