Sorry about the heading. Nevertheless, I am sure the gay members on the site will understand and forgive me...But here I go...In the Bahamas we seem to murder gay people and nothing comes out of it....Yep, its on the net now...and apart of google....In the Bahamas if you are gay, and if you are murdered, 9 times out of 10, your murder WILL NOT BE SOLVED. Why? Because in this Bahamas we don't like gay people. Sad aye...However, we have a slew of unsolved gay murders...and all they have received is a deafening silence. Its a sad truth, but its something we either have to accept or protest about.

No, I do not agree with that. I would say that maybe those murders are a bit more complicated that the others where people readily give info.
There appears to be many gays who prefer not to reveal their preference. I do not believe you will find the tips hotline ringing of the phone from people who knows something about those cases.
A lot of them just choose to remain in the closet. In some cases many of them hold prominent positions in this country and knows exactly how they will treated if their status is revealed.
That's just my take.

Agreed BG.
i had an idea, maybe the police are working on the case, and just not telling the press about it, because these are crimes of such a sensitive nature. although i would be very surprised if the press didnt find out anything, cuz you know Bahamians' mout run like water.

It seems to me to be a case of heavy cover ups within the gay community itself, for fear that the private lives of some very public people will be revealed for all to see. Nassau is to small for any murder to go unsolved for a long period of time. Further to that, the gay community is even smaller and more connected. Someone from that community has to be willing to come forth and say what they know. Because I truly believe that is at the root of why such cases go unsolved. Its not only that the Bahamians are homophobic, but some in the gay community refuse to come out and say what they know, yet at the same time want to cry discrimination.
