Word coming in that the Vincent D'Aguilar funeral was the society funeral of the week. PM Hubigetty was there. Brent Kitchenette was there as well. He came in just 10 minutes before the start, and worked the crowd signing the book. Crisco Butt was there also, and at the end of the ceremony, it was Deacon Jeff Lloyd who escorted Crisco Butt out of the church.

Deacon Lloyd had a fairly big part in show -- reading da Gospels, deaconating around with da smoke (incense) etc. Jose Gomez gave a rather insipid eulogy, while Jackson Burnside III gave a rousing, humorous yet touching eulogy, and son Dionisio orated as well. Archbishop Patrick Pinder officiated.

Anyone who was anyone was present. Sarkis Izmerlian, head of Baha Mar was there. He looked lost looking for a friend. Dr. Baldwin Carey and Sonny Waugh were among the pallbearers. Even Dr. Desiree Cox put an appearance in.

All in all, it was a good show -- a good send-off, and the eats held in the tent afterwards were first rate. The very first hors d'ouevre were shrimp the size of a lady's fist. Lots of good wine and first rate eats.

Can hardly wait for Lady Swindling's funeral. Buying my stock of ferl fer dat one.

Can hardly wait for Lady Swindling's funeral. Buying my stock of ferl fer dat one.Vincent was a faithful member of the faith as such he would have been given a good pontifical mass as a send off... the higest honour with the presence of his grace, Dec Lloyd would have played the role of Deacon of the mass, his role to assist the PRIEST, beign that our archbishop was the chief priest at this mass... I am sNOT ure why it was necessay to escort the opposition leader out, ( I will have to ask the Rector) I can only guess that it was a dec lloyd act.. LOL.. , but for sure.. The Rector of the St. Francis, Fr. Glen would have escorted the PM out, .. all in all a fitting tribe to a faithful member of the faith.. not withstanding his contribution to our local society..

RIP my brother..

We Love you but, Jesus loves you the best.. GOOD BYE !!!...

Dem tings is bad fa da en-wi-O-ment!

Any true true Bahamian who know how to "pack up" after a cookout/party/church anniversary/ funeral only needs two plates and a napkin.

One plate fa food, one ta cover it up and a napkin ta wrap it up! LOL

I glad Mr D'Aguilar had a good home going service. He sounded like a good man especially with his uspport of Bahamian arts & culture.

I was wondering if I was the only person who found THAT, disgusting. Lurker, you sure do have a weird sense of humour. In fact, it shows an evident twisted, mental sickness.

You should really clear your mind of all that filth. It really isn't good.

RIP to Mr. D'Aguilar!

I didn't find it offensive. And anyone that knew Vincent would probably agree that he would also laugh at Lurker's post.

Does not make the offensive remarks any more tasteful.
