FACTS ONLY 03-07-08, - 01:53 PM At Breezers.. Lurker 03-07-08, - 02:11 PM At Breezers.. went super well. jamaica has a real emergent technology sector and the government knows it. I attend these things strategically. Right now Jamaica is ripe for a tech startup, because they are slowly building up a pool of IT workers with their two technology parks. I specifically went with two objectives (1) to make the PM remember who I was and (2) slip him some media lines and catch phrases when talking about technology. So, for the first objective, I wore Armani formal wear. It looks good on my tall frame, and topped it off with a pair of Italian wingtips with a shine on them that actually reflects your image. Then when I spoke to the PM, I seeded the conversation with the importance of "bridging the digital divide" and "empowerment through technology" and "in the global village, e-communication is a tenet of democracy". It all worked. I have an invitation to present technology case histories in Bridging the Digital Divide in Mo Bay in May. Super:bouncy: what was your impression (albeit short)of the PMs of the region? Or was that meeting only for the Jamaicans? Any pics of you in said Armani suit? Did our Pm say "SAY WAT, BRIDGIN WAT" with all that digital talk? And..did the PM remember you? He does have a fantastic memory ya know lol Lurker 03-07-08, - 02:29 PM Super:bouncy: what was your impression (albeit short)of the PMs of the region? Or was that meeting only for the Jamaicans? I think that the evening was arranged by Patrick Hanlon (sp?) who is the Jamaican Consul in Nassau. PM Bruce Golding is a very nice man -- well-spoken and a pleasant man. I een putting no pics up of me ... no way ... doon care to be critically rated by the ladies of BI, as they are wont to do. Techno-Bunny 03-07-08, - 02:54 PM Lurker you are too much!
