Folks, just some friendly advice: "Don't be fooled to think that a poster's point is valid simply because the poster has a firm grasp of the English Language".
I recall a discussion I was having with a lady in America, and she knows very little English Language. At one point, my grammar was spectacular but, my logic and my point were weak. She, in a rather weak grammatical manner proved that my point was flawed.
Thus, let's start judging people not just on their external (skin) or external (grammar) but on "wat they actually are saying".
A friend of mine has a University Professor that is hell bent on ensuring that the grammar her students use is correct. Thus, her students are frustrated and not learning about the main subject (business) but are more concerned about making sure that their commas are in DA right place.
Granted that we should be able to effectively communicate in the slave tongue (English). But more important than our spelling and our proper usage of tings like grammar, is whether or not we have understand the statement or question, whether we are able to formulate a response that deals with the original statement, and whether we really have backing/proof for our response.
Personally, although I come out here to raise awareness on certain issues (racism, imperialism, poverty, self-hate, etc) just as important is hearing from you all and either having to defend my position, or hearing from someone who has a similar perspective, but has stated it in a different manner (whether grammatically correct or naught/not/knot.
And regarding Ting-um and his unnecessarily rude and arrogant responses, he has great potential, but unless he learns to communicate and not shout and ignore others, he's just another person with potential (correct grammar/grandma or not).
To summarize the above: "Chile I ain't care wat ya gta to say, if ya gat gramma and ting, das fine, but if ya ain't gat no logic, ain't know hot to come out ya mouth, and aint' gat no proof, brudda you could kiss the talk goodbye" run on sentence, etc aside. (have a great day friends.)
